Very pleased with this external blu-ray drive! I have been hesitant buying one for a while, due to mixed reviews on various other brands' drives, but after seeing the good reviews for this one, i decided to purchase. The build quality is great. Much more solid than the external dvd drive i have. The sleek stand gives it a cool aesthetic look, and helps with space. I've ripped several blu-ray music discs so far, and they transferred quick. After that, i've tested playing some blu-ray's, using powerdvd, and they all started up fairly quick, and without issues. The cable length could have been a bit longer, as i use a electric standing desk, and won't be able to use this while i am standing, but it's fine to use for sitting. I plan to use this to back up all my blu-ray/dvd media, so hopefully it will do that without much issue! Apart from that, i'm very pleased with the purchase, and to say blu-ray drives don't really get produced nowadays, i was happy with the price, especially after noticing some of the higher prices for now delisted drives. I highly recommemd this product, for anyone needing an external blu-ray drive!

Works like a charm so far. Not the fastest but nice and slim. :) It supports m-disc : woohoo.. Tip 1: If it stops working its because windows installs the wrong driver automatically during windows updates. Just roll-back the driver and you are good to go. Tip2: Using a low powered laptop? It can work via a powered usb v2 or v3 hub or by plugging in the second usb port into a powered usb charger (1amp+) and the other into your laptop or pc.

Good product. Ideal for those who don't like cloud storage. It’s plasticky like most stuff these days but does the job.

Excellent Blu-ray read/writer. I bought this for the sole purpose of ripping my Blu-ray and dvd collection and digitise my movies. So far it has worked flawlessly. Not the great build but it’s what’s inside that counts, very quiet, easy to eject and a long enough cable. You have to use both usb ends of the y cable so it has enough power. Great buy.

The unit arrived unsealed with finger prints, scratched;. certainly a returned unit. It wasn't recognised by my Macbook and it didn't play Blueray or DVD's with my Windows 10 Laptop. Seller was quick to process the complain and the money is back in my account now. Shame returned units are sent as new product to customers, unpleasant situation and again I have to gamble on new external Blueray burner.

Works fine with creating backups and ripping of Blurays. Reads DVDs without issue so far. Only issue is the stand, it can't be reversed, and as it leans to one side (for stability) it limits the positions you can use it in. If you lay it flat, it's quite noisy, so using the stand is almost required.

This a great little Blu-Ray writer. Connected straight to an iMac, created a .img file to the hard drive from FCPX and then Blu-ray Disc. It worked first time out of the box, no software installed. The Seller, CCL Computers was also very good and recommend buying from them.

Doesn't seem to work with 4k Blu Ray discs.

L'article m'a été fourni en un temps record, je n'espérais si rapide. Si vous avez un "vieux" apple, (le mien, acheté avec "Lion" utilise désormais "Sierra"). Le logiciel toast titanium gratuit et son complément (non gratuit) me permettait de graver des vidéos en 1080 p sur un support DVD (+ ou - R) d'une durée de 30 mn (en réalité 39 mn). Le graveur externe asus me permet de graver sur bluray, immédiatement, tout juste déballé, avec le même environnement ; 2 choses à savoir : le temps de gravure est plus long, ça rappelle le temps de "Léopard et Tigre", et d'autre part la référence du graveur commence par SBW, avec un W comme writer et non pas un C comme combo (Wiki saura mieux que moi vous rappeler la signification de ce mot) Résultat c'est très facile et parfait.

Asus halt eben! Läuft ohne Probleme! Zum abspielen von Filme benutzte ich denn. Leicht zerkratzte Blu Rays (Original) spielt der ab.
