Great device for fresh apple slicing
I bought this for when my Grandkids pop round. It does what it should, they love turning an apple into an event with it. Comes out in spirals and a huge length of peel that's great for enjoying separately.Easy to use, as well as easy to dispose of the apple core and then wash the machine. It's a good purchase for the money and now my grandkids always ask to use it for their apples.

Useless
Bought this after seeing a friend using hers. Mine fell apart when I took it out of the box. With a lot of messing around my friend's husband fixed it together using hers as a guide. He had to add bits to it, and one of the components was missing so he's had to modify it. The spiral which winds through the core is razor sharp, hers was smooth. Many of the bits are flimsy. Poor quality. Don't bother! The older ones are probably better.

Needs set up and instructions are useless but works ok
You’d be as well chucking the instructions in the bin as they are unintelligible. I just had to try a couple of apples to get an idea of what was what and how best to adjust it. The core cutter needs aligned so the pins push through it. My core cutter had been fitted the wrong way round. After working out how it worked it saved a huge amount of time and effort coring and cutting the apples into spirals. For the cost it’s well worth it if you plan to do a lot of coring and peeling. Plus it cuts into spirals which is fine for making apple crumble/ tarts etc.

Not a time-saver for me
Instructions are not too easy to follow and it is a fiddle to change over if you want to change the process. Only takes medium sized round apples and so most of the apples from my cooking apple tree are far too big and mis-shapen! The suction pad holds it firmly to the worktop but a lot of juice is produced so I tend to use it on a tray on the outside table. It does cut slices into the apples providing the core is in the centre of the apple. Does not suit my needs but would suit other people

Fascinating to watch it do it’s thing
Once I’d got my head around how it works, instructions I think translated from Italian,it just works, all you need to do is turn the handle👍

The instructions are impossible to understand or work out and it doesn't cut apples all that well.
Looking forward to this product since next week is Jewish New Year and we eat/cook with a lot of apples and honey (symbolism for a sweet new year).Arrived today, and it's so complicated for what should be such an easy product. My brother's trying to figure it out, but I honestly think you need a degree to work out what the hell the instructions are on about (see pic)Edit: he's kind of worked out how to use it but it's really impossible to use. Already wasted 2 apples; first one didn't peel properly and the core split and it didn't remove the core, the second one half cut it but irsnt peeling it (see pic; first attempt with mangled core on left, second attempt which cut but didn't peel on right/on the machine)If you want one that just works with minimal fuss and is easy to use, find another one that works where the instructions don't require a degree.

I had to return it.
I’m sorry to say this product was very disappointing. It was quite flimsy and not strong enough to cope with the pressure of an apple moving through the corer. I had to return it a refund. I bought another of a different name which was very successful.
