Worth every penny for this cookbook!!
Finally a cookbook for AIP baking that is filled with actually good recipes. A big plus is that the major ingredients can be measured by weight because the author gives you that option. This seems to be the trick to AIP baking. The chocolate chip cookies are so tasty! I have tried many recipes and these are the best! I served them for dessert to "regular" people and they had no idea that they were AIP. They actually asked for the recipe. Also tried the chocolate cake and this is the first AIP cake that actually acts and tastes like a gluten cake. It rises in the oven! I can't wait to try more of the recipes. The only thing I wish is that there were pictures for each recipe. Thank you Wendi!!

More than a cookbook… a method and manual for AIP baking
The recipes are simple, the ingredient list is concise with many recipes using the same ingredients over and over, and the results are truly decadent! I thought I had tried every AIP baking recipe out there, but this book offers a fresh take on old classics with results that turn out every single time. Wendi takes you carefully and thoughtfully through the method and the madness of AIP baking step by step in every recipe. Her recipes are not only delicious, but have excellent texture, complexity and depth of flavor, and a simplicity that even a child learning to bake could read and execute them perfectly. No more “a wish and a prayer” style baking - with this book you will have consistent, quality results every time. If you thought AIP baking was not for you, think again!

This Book is a Game Changer!
No more spending $15 on a pack of AIP baking mix (that would be $3 if mainstream). The cookie and muffin recipes I’ve made are so good! Even my teenage daughter’s friends gobbled the muffins up. I’m looking forward to trying more recipes. So grateful to have this book handy!

Super easy recipes!
I love the user friendly recipes! Most AIP baking recipes are too difficult and then after spending forever in your kitchen they just don’t taste right. This cookbook is totally different! The recipes are easy and don’t take forever to put together. My only complaint is that a couple of the recipes I have made the mixture has been a little dry so I had to add some liquid to be able to combine the ingredients. It could be user error though.

You'll may need to buy a bunch of new ingredients to make something
I think I was originally thinking this would be more friendly towards everyday items with general substitutes, for example, AP flour might need to be replaced by a 1-1 gluten free flour, but instead there's a few different flours you might need to get to follow a recipe. I haven't made anything yet because I don't have the particular ingredients it's calling for. If this is your everyday lifestyle I'm sure this book would be very helpful but if it's not it's a little much. As you can tell it's not my everyday lifestyle, I bake and cook a lot so I was anticipating making some things for some of my friends that have autoimmune issues. The recipes do look easy to follow along to and it's nice most have pictures of the final product.

So thankful for this cookbook!
My 6 year old son has extensive food allergies including all grains, nuts, etc. The list is endless. I have been struggling for the past few years trying to adjust his diet as more and more food allergies come back positive in his bloodwork. He also has severe eczema. Anyone with a child with these issues will understand the stress and toll it takes on you as a parent. Especially, when your child can't sleep or eat normally. While searching for recipes without his long list of food allergens, I came across the AIP diet and then this book. I am not exaggerating when I say it is an absolute Godsend for me. Finally, I can make my son foods that he sees his brothers eating. I have made several of the recipes in this book so far, and all of them are great, even to the rest of the family. We all like them. You can't go wrong with this cookbook. It's a fabulous resource to have.

A great tool in your aip baking journey
I bought this book because I am currently on an AIP journey with my husband. We have experimented with many baking recipes that have been a major let down (maybe they turned crumbly, or dry or gummy). Wendi's book has so many little gems of information to go along with tried and tested recipes. I received this just before Christmas, and was able to make the Dutch Apple Pie. It was really good! I did tweak it very slightly the second time (YUP, I made it again for New Year). I also really appreciated a truly simple pie crust that comes together beautifully. (Did I mention I hate making crust?) I am looking forward to making more recipes out of this book now that the craziness of the holidays is over.

Horrible
I pre-ordered this book and waited excitedly for it to get here. Made Dutch apple pie for Christmas. It was the worse mess I've ever made. The pie crust fell off the edges and all over my oven when I lifted it out of the oven. The bottom crust had absorbed every drop of moisture turning into a mass of goo with dried apples on top, topped by a layer of very dry powder stuff. It was horrible, and I can't even say the filling was good it was so dry and had no flavor. It was a flavorless dry mass on top of a bed of goo. Very sad as those were some the best flavored and juicey apples I have gotten in a long time. The blueberry pie wasn't much better. Don't know what the other recipes are like but don't make any of the pies. They are horrible.

Palm shortening not available here
The book is well presented but Palm shortening isn't cheap to buy and also shortening from the supermarket isn't aip compliant so that leaves coconut oil but you would need a refined one to take away the coconut flavours. Not really good
