Different but well worth it!
This pillow probably wont be like any other pillow you've ever had although it does seem to have the weight of a memory foam pillow. This being said however, I find a lot of memory foam pillows too hard and this Dunlopillo isn't hard at all. Inside it is latex which keeps its shape no matter what, springing back almost instantly and not rucking up or becoming lumpy, always regaining its shape. The pillow is quite low and at first you lie on it and think 'Uh Oh' but its actually surprisingly supportive. It took me a couple of nights to get used to it but I didn't wake up with a funny neck as I often do with new pillows. I really suffer with my neck and have several degenerating cervical discs so I have tried every pillow you can think of and for years have lamented about the fact that just nothing is ever suitable, or if it is, its comfort only seems to last a few months and then I'm looking for a new one again. So far (6 days in) I have no neck pain and no regrets and am very pleased with this pillow and would recommend it for people who struggle to find something soft yet supportive. It is also suitable for people who are back and side sleepers as it is supportive in both positions. It's cost me £50 but to be honest, I recently paid out £25 for two Dorma pillows which turned out to be rubbish after the first nights sleep so really I'm hoping that having found a good pillow I will be saving in the long run!

Best pillow ever
I will admit, I was sceptical about paying this much for a pillow - but having now slept on it for months would do so again in a heartbeat - absolutely the best investment you can make for a good nights sleep. We have both the fatter one, and this, the slimmer one and your preference depends entirely on what feels better for your neck - if you like two pillows go for the other, one pillow for this - but, whichever you decide you will find a supportive, yet soft and not in the least sweaty pillow - no lumps, nothing to cause discomfort - and after months of use no change at all - so money well spent.

Good product for some but not for me..
I bought a Healthbeds low profile talalay latex pillow over a year ago but wanted another. Took a chance on this as the Healthbeds had went up in price and the serenity was cheaper, I mean how different could they be? Both latex and the description of the serenity also claims its talalay latex. I still gave this pillow 4 stars because I believe its still a good pillow, but I wish I had paid the extra for the Healthbeds. My good lady is happy to use the Dunlopillo but it's not for me it's too firm when you're used to the softer Healthbeds pillow..If you are looking at reviews for this type of pillow before spending your hard earned cash (they are expensive as far as pillows go) you'll find my review on the Healthbeds low profile on Amazon also..

Worth twice the price for a comfortable night's sleep
I have heart problems and should use reasonably high supportive pillows. However, I'm a side sleeper (I cannot breath very well on my back) and thought my latest purchase (of many!) of a very soft "snugly" pillow would be ok.Ever since I have been using it I have been waking up on my back, feeling very breathless and unwell. It took me a while to make the connection that the pillow was unsuitable - so back to the drawing board.I remembered that years ago I always used a dunlopillow and found it very comfortable so had a look on Amazon to see if they were still being made. I was pleased to see they were and there were quite a lot to choose from. I read a lot of the reviews but found them rather mixed and a bit confusing. In the end by reading what the manufacturers said and what I had gleaned from the reviews I came up with the Serenity Deluxe pillow. I wanted it to be firm enough to support my head and keep me off my back, but not too deep. This one is called slim and is an average thickness and I know that it won't lose its shape while I sleep on it like most others seem to. If you're used to two pillows you might prefer a deeper one but be careful because unless you are quite a big person I think it could be too high. When I first unpacked it I was surprised how heavy it is but once being used it's not an issue. It fits a standard pillowcase and will never need "plumping up" - it will stay as it is all night, every night and I shall get a continuity of sleep. I am no longer breathless in the morning. It may be expensive but I would have paid twice the price to get it to help my health needs.Needless to say, I thoroughly recommend this pillow. It IS different from other pillows, it seems to be harder for a start, but once you put your head on it and settle down you just feel comfortable and supported ready for a good night's sleep.

Same model from JL was comfy, but this one hurts my neck
I've bought the same pillow from John Lewis 3 months ago, it was so comfy so my husband took it! Then I ordered the same one from Amazon, it came with a different picture on the front, but the descriptions are the same so I'm guessing maybe one of them was old stock? After a couple of nights, I definitely can feel the difference from my old pillow, this one is slightly slimmer and somehow my neck started hurting after the 3rd night... so not sure why. I know I 100% ordered the right pillow, not the other model if you are curious.

Blissful nights.
I had one of these pillows in the past and it lasted about seven or eight years until the time came for it to be replaced. Since then many other makes over many years have graced my bed, sadly not for very long. Although this is an expensive pillow (not surprising for such a quality item ), In my opinion nothing compares! It was like getting back with an old friend, my search for the perfect pillow has come to an end. I only wish I had purchased this when I was first diagnosed with Spondylosis in my spine, it certainly would have saved a great deal of discomfort, time and money. I can truthfully say I haven't slept so well in years, well, since my last Dunlopillo pillow to be precise. This is a tried, tested and reliable brand that I would highly recommend. After all, what price do you put on comfort. Thank you Dulopillo.
