How does this compare to Phase 10 card game? It sounds kind of similar.

Both card games but Phase10 is more challenging and a bit longer and player doesn't move to next level until they complete their suit. Still, highest score loses. Both games are very fun. We play with our now 13 year old all the time (she started playing at 9 or 10). Another fun one is Quiddler. All good family fun.

Yes, same type of coating as the regular (4 suited) playing cards that we use.

Is this game the same as Kings in the Corner? Or similar?

Some of our favorite games are Kings in the Corner, and Five Crowns. Every round is different so it keeps it interesting. They are totally different games but fun. We play it with 12 to 87 years olds.

What is the question? If you are asking it 5 Crowns is good for -4-year-olds, the answer is clearly "no." I can't think of any card games that a 4-year-old can play.
