RSPB First Book Of The Seashore

This is a well illustrated book. Each animal/ shellfish etc. has a little description too. Bought for my 2 yr old. It's a bit advanced yet but she likes flicking through the pages and looking at the pictures. I'm going to put it away until the summer, and a few beach visits! Very happy

Nice little book. Fairly shiny so withstands the odd splash of water which is useful. Bright pictures and clear descriptions. Kids loved matching what they had found with the book. Unfortunately we didn't find many of the items in the book but that might have been more about our looking skills!

Bought for my Grandson who loves the rock pools.This is a great little learning book to take down the beach and recognise seaweed shells sea birds etc

Great simple little book my 4 year old loved looking at at the beach and still does. Cute pics and checklist at the back which she goes back to and talks about all the things she's seen.

5 stars for the illustrations but only 2 for the content, lots of common creatures that you can find on the seashore are not included (e.g. Dog Whelk)

Living on the coast I have collected lots of shells which I have been able to identify through this book It is easy to use and my grandchildren ages 5 and 7 were able to use the book with ease.

This book has lovely pictures and explanations, and I like that the kids can "tick" their findings in the back of the book.However, the pastic bag used for the shipment did not protect the book enough from being bent on the corners.
