Superb!
This was one of the nicest pieces of flat-pack furniture I've ever put together! The packaging was great - enough to ensure the product arrived in perfect condition but not so much that you're filling the recycling bin for the next month! Each item is labelled clearly so you don't have to spend ages identifying which piece is which by counting the holes and deciding which is left or right, and even each separate bag of fittings is labelled with numbers. The instructions were clear and easy to follow with a mixture of text and diagrams, and I managed to complete it within an hour. The finished item looks sturdy and elegant, although as I'm using it for storing a combination of CDs and DVDs I found spacing the shelves in the most economical way a bit tricky.A superb piece of furniture and great fun to construct!

Looks great - with a little outside help.
Item arrived packed very securely but with no wasted packaging. All parts present and correct and, very usefully, labelled with small, peel-off stickers, which made it much easier to follow the instructions. Definitely needs 2 people at times, especially as the glue provided is the usual cheap stuff that takes ages to set and doesn't hold things together enough to enable moving the unit around to continue on to the next part of the instructions. However, relatively easy to assemble - took around 1/2 hour given a little help from another - and is a good looking piece of furniture. Once the shelving is in place, it is a very heavy item and I would not use it without securing it to a wall (and not with the fairly ineffectual straps provided). Our house has fairly deep skirting boards and there is no cut-out at the back of the unit to allow for this. A DIY neighbour said either the skirting board needed to be cut away (a big job) or have a large bracket bridging the gap between the wall and the top of the unit. Settled for a piece of wood fixed to the plaster board and the unit screwed into this. It doesn't show and the unit is now very secure. All in all, despite minor difficulties, we're very pleased with it and only wish there was a matching single unit available.

rubbish
item arrived and was easy for me to assemble however the locknuts broke on two sections which resulted in me having to purchase brackets to stabalise the unit, luckily for me the unit is behind a TV and covers most of the area's that dont line up, i would not have purchased if i had realised how bad it was, I would not recommend this product

Good CD storage option for small space
The CD storage unit was easy to assemble and was a good solution for using up a narrow space in the room. Delivery from the supplier was quick.

EASY DOES IT EVERY TIME!
Firstly, all the components were present and correct (hurrah!) and if you take your time, carefully ensuring you're screwing the correct piece into its rightful place, you'll be fine. However the unit is not as robustly constructed as say, an Ikea product would be. Securing the top and bottom sections with just a wooden dowel peg and two, supposedly locking bolts wasn't going to create a secure join - it needed two t-angled braces before I could be certain that the 2 elements wouldn't split apart. A knowledge of woodwork comes in handy here.It looks good when assembled but laden with a full complement of CDs, it sure is heavy. Again I couldn't have peace of mind that the whole thing might topple forward and the two straps which are provided to fasten to a wall seemed insufficient so again, a right angle corner brace is needed (I would say is ESSENTIAL and maybe two) to screw into unit and wall to ensure stability.Despite these reservations, all in all a fair piece of furniture - being patient taking the trouble plus some extra failsafe measures will pay dividends. Having everything together in one package certainly saves the hassle of buying timber etc. and making from scratch - well I simply couldn't do it as well as the manufacturers have done here.

Full Agreement
I am in full agreement with the previous reviewer. This is an excellent item and once I worked out where everything went the construction process was a straightforward event, though you do need to make sure that the screws are tightly screwed in to ensure it all holds together at the end. The shelves look good and when filled with CDs and DVDs is steady on its feet even without attaching it to the wall, something we can't do in our house. I am very pleased with this item and would definitely purchase another if and when the need arises.

Good but with failings
Easy enough to assemble but like all this type of furniture a third hand would be useful. If used purely for dvds it is excellent there is an issue with cds though because if you put shelves in for maximum storage it is a b***s ache to get the cds out. Easy to get round by putting one less cd in each slot so there is space to get a finger in or leave one offset so it can be got out easily to allow access to others. Tried second method but someone thought it looked untidy and pushed them in leading to a 'warm discussion' !!. Other than that quibble all good although I would dispute total claimed storage

Excellent product and a good price.
Goes together very easily but be sure to read instructions properly. All the pieces are numbered to help get it right. Even comes with strong glue for the dowells. Once together is very sturdy.
