Guide GearMen's Heavyweight Fleece Base Layer Union Suit, Thermal and Moisture Wicking

Ok but with issues.
I had to rate it at 3 stars for 3 reasons. First is my fault and partially Guide Gears because of the similar description to the union suit I purchased a couple years ago that was the heavier poly fleece which is no longer available on Amazon. More my fault but still pretty disappointed. The second reason is the zipper... Why in the world would you not have a double zip like the poly-fleece or at least a button fly? It's incredibly inconvenient to have to unbuckle your belt, undo your pants, untuck your shirt, and the reach to your chin to unzip the suit whenever nature calls. Especially when that could be fixed and the product made 10x better with a second 25¢ zipper. Another issue with the zipper is that it's not backed in anyway which makes it uncomfortable to wear all day with out another under shirt and underwear which kind of defeats one of the purposes of a union suit. You could wear it with out anything else but you'd have to be a lot tougher man than me or at least enjoy the feeling of a cheese grater on your gentlemen's bits for 16 hours a day.3rd reason is more minor but still important. It's the back flap. I like the elastic in the back it's comfortable and practical and big enough to be fully functional unlike most union suits. My only issue with it is that it's impossible to keep the tail tucked in even when just setting around. It's just not long enough and should either be made a few inches longer or add a button to keep it closed.Over all though it is a good suit for what it is. Contrary to the description I think is better suited for wearing around a camp or sleeping in than for any kind of work. Definitely not a long day in the woods or a sawmill.Update:. I have modified the suit a bit. I added a second zipper as well as backed the zipper and added 2 buttons on either side of the back flap. Also I added some stirrups to it because it tends to ride up a bit in the legs if your sitting or bending a lot and it pulls your socks up which is almost as bad as your boots eating your socks. So an hour with a needle and thread and it's perfect if still not quite as warm as my old one. If it does wear out I may buy another pair but for the issues I would definitely look elsewhere first.

has top and bottom zip
Wanted something with no cotton. Had this out as a skiing baselayer. Temps were in the 20's and I was comfortable with this and a jersey under the ski jacket. Did regular warm wash and dryer. Didn't seem to shrink at all. Hard to beat for the price

Will keep you warm...
Would award 4.5 stars, actually. Never could quite get used to that 'gash' in the back though...?!

Union suit
My husband loves this garment! I will have to order another set, because he doesn't want to take them off. I may have to get a pair myself!
