The fit is perfect for me. I'm 5' 1" Inches tall and have had trouble with other support hose I'm very pleased with these as they do not creep down during the day or bind. They do not appear darker in areas behind the knees or ankles as others have after wearing them for a while. There is also no need to pull the waistband up beyond my natural waist. I wore these for the first time as I was attending an event where I would be sitting most of the day. Everything was fine, sheer, supportive and no discomfort after wearing them for 10 hours. I'm very pleased and would recommend them, especially if you are not very tall. Happy with purchase and will be buying them on a regular basis. They run true to the sizes listed on the package.

Over 50, work on concrete, tendonitis in feet and painful calves and thighs - so I tried these pantyhose under my jeans - the difference is amazing! When I put them on, they didn't seem like they'd be supportive enough to make a difference - but they did. My feet were still a little sore at the end of shift, but they would be. My legs didn't hurt at all. Some people have mentioned a smell. I experienced a smell I didn't like but not anything like mold. Before I wore them I washed by hand in a mixture of baking soda and Dr. Bonner's Tea Tree soap. I let them sit in the water while I did chores, and came back washed them by hand and rinsed thoroughly then I let them hang dry for about 24 hours. The smell was gone. So worth the money and extra step though.

As a healthcare professional I am on my feet all day & frequently standing. The higher spandex in the legs of Hanes Alive works great as a mild type of full leg compression stocking. It’s not graduated compression as it runs the same amount of spandex the full length of the leg, but it sure works to help with swelling & muscle fatigue on those 12 hour shifts. I can definitely tell a difference if I do not wear them to work even on 8 hour shifts. The higher spandex content makes them thicker and thus prevents a true “sheer” effect but by no means do they look like old lady compression hose and they are certainly less opaque than a pair of tights. They are fairly easy to get on- I put them on just like regular panty hose, just need a tad more effort pulling them upward thanks to the spandex. Measuring in at 5’4”, I am not tall, but my 135 pounds runs more to my hips/thighs so I wear a size C. I’ve worn the B but notice they tend to creep down as the day goes on and I have less of an issue with this in the larger size. No extra baggage in the lower leg with the larger size either. I wash in separate laundry bag with my other regular laundry and hang them to dry. Never had an issue with runs or holes doing this. I’ve worn these hose (not the same pair) for at least the last 15 years and they last for quite some time. I replace them as the spandex compression factor wears out, usually get half a dozen pairs and replace every 6 months working full time. Much cheaper than medical support hose and I can usually still wear them to church as they are still in good shape just have lost a little compression in the legs. If you are looking for a true thin sheer pair of hose, these are not for you. They have a good range of colors to choose from to match different flesh tones plus navy & black. I wholeheartedly endorse Hanes Alive if you are looking for something a bit “more” in your pantyhose. I’ve worn control top and regular, sheer & reinforced toe. I’ve had no real issues with any of them but tend lean toward control top (to keep the compression factor support going) and reinforced toe since I wear them with socks & regular shoes much of the time and walk a lot. Hope this review helps folks make the right choice and that if they do buy them, they work as well for them as they do me.

Bought these for a wedding- danced all night! Looked great, sheer, no runs, and comfortable.

I try to put these on early in am. They definitely help me have more energy during the day because of improved circulation.

The packaging was totally different from the regular Alive Brand stockings. The control top isn't half as good as the original. The shipping on this was slow

I wanted a very sheer black panty hose for under a skirt. I got the barely black thinking that it would be a black that was more sheer. It’s more of a dark grey, I would not call it black. The body of it also doesn’t stretch as much as I’d like so it feels kind of weird wearing them. Overall it worked in a pinch when I needed a cheap pair quickly.

They didn't increase the price a lot for many years but the quality is not the same.my favorite was Ivory color but they don't have it for many years

Bought as an alternative to my usual brand. These fit well, are very sheer, but don’t stay up.

These tights didn't run which is a first in my experience, however the 'barely there' colour was dark and rather solid. The control top fit a bit tighter than expected and had a tendency to roll down because of this. However they didn't run after a day in a wedding party so thats pretty impressive.

I bought these in "barely black" for an event. I got the largest size because I cant stand things digging in. I am 5"8 210 lbs and they fit perfectly. HOWEVER. Barely black is actually grey/brown and they got a run within 2 hours of my event. A very very large run, so in to the trash they went. Maybe someone who doesn't move, have a purse or fingernails would have bette luck.

It gives a beautiful shape to my legs and it doesn’t rip. Great quality.
