The thing that prompted me to buy this was simply to get 4x18650 for a tennerWith a free torch and charger thrown inYes I know, you get what you pay for with 18650, but I like to live dangerouslyPut batteries in included charger and plugged into standard usb wall charger.In about 3 hours all batteries were showing charged within about 10 mins of each other. Which I took to be a good signAnd no battery felt remotely warm. Left 2 in for a further three hours and still not warmBatteries claim to be 3000mah, but well - cheap batteries claim lots of things. Not tested; no equipment; don't really careAm I going to leave these batteries in this charger unattended? Of course I'm notTorch feels nice, threads are really smooth, wrist strap, belt clip (which unscrews easily)Need to be careful with threads on battery insertion - much easier with flat tops, but you work with what you're given5 modes, button on base, soft press cycles through modesSame "design feature" on this as on another cheap torch I have: turn off is instant, but turn on gives you the next mode after the one you turned off inSo to turn on in "bright" you first need to have cycled down to "SOS" and turned off thereBut I kinda expected that; no biggieCan't speak for lumens - I assume everyone lies about lumensIts a fair bit brighter than the brightest torch I have had for years, and a lot less bright than my recent purchase of a torch that claims 10kSo maybe it is between 1k and 2k; I've no way of knowingAnd, anyway, as I say above: feels like an excellent package for a tenner

This flashlight is well made, beam is bright and consistent in coverage. I have only dropped one star because when it is turned on again, it does not go to the same previously used mode, but goes to the next one. So you can turn it on and get the flashing mode and then have to cycle through modes to get the one you want

The rechargeable batteries are very low quality and definitely no the capacity declared. The charger is to slow if you use it for real batteries.
