Good, but Not Quite Great (changed to 5)
Update, Fall 2024: I upgraded this from 4 to 5 stars for a few different reasons. The first one is that the remote is flawless. It always works and it's easy to keep with the grip. The other thing, and probably the most important, is the fact that this really *is* a professional piece of equipment. Although I didn't like the price in my first review, I am eating a huge slice of humble pie as I say that it is worth it. This is very easy to use on tripods, the extension rod does not bend (like at all), and it just feels solid, sturdy, and well engineered. All of the other grips that I had that I got for so much less money can't hold up to this item. So yeah. I really like it and it has proven to be worth it five stars I just gave it.Mea culpa.Original: Because of plans I have in the near future to use my iPhone more for photography, I have invested in the Freewell Sherpa system. I've purchased a few filters which are amazing, the case for my 14 Pro Max, and finally, I bought this.It *feels* like a camera when it's on the phone and handles great. The selfie stick part is also surprisingly well made, and the bluetooth shutter is a nice bonus. Even though it's used only on the Freewell cover, it does feel a little tight and not very easy to install. YMMV depending on the strength of your hands and your cussing abilities. The one advantage that this one has that the others don't is that it fully collapses and "becomes one with the camera," which the others don't.My only real beef is that $79 seems a little dear for what it is. I have a couple of selfie stick tripods with a similar bluetooth shutter and they all cost under $30. I think if Freewell knocked of about $10/20 on this item, it would be far more worth it. The only reason I think that knocking off a small amount instead of making it the same price as the others is because it collapses so completely, and I respect the engineering.

Exactly what I was looking for
Holds my iPhone 16 pro max snugly. Made of high quality materials. Wish it would extend a little longer. I didn't think I would use the Bluetooth feature but it ended up be useful to me. Pricey but I couldn't find anything that met my needs that was cheaper. Contacted customer support for help to find the manual online, they responded within a day.

Expensive but handy grip. I'd rate it a 3.5 stars
I thought it'd be nice to have a phone grip that would make it more comfortable for me to take videos and pictures while on my trip. I bought this with the Freewell phone case for my S23 Ultra. I generally like it so far, but I there are things about it that I am not fully satisfied with. Firstly, the $80 price tag is too expensive for what you get. I feel it's more in the $50 range. To comfortably use the grip, I place it near the edge of the phone and even though I use it with the Freewell brand case, there is some wiggle movement with the phone between the grip arms. This is the worst part of the grip. I understand that it is meant to be large enough to grip phones of different sizes, but for $80 the spring should have been stronger or they could've added some kind of tightening device. Because of this, I don't feel 100% confident that the grip will hold my phone when using the camera. The grip part itself could've been made or textured by a less slippery material to make it more comfortable to use. The extending pole was nice and there are all the mounts you may need there. The removable Bluetooth remote is handy and its magnetic back is helpful. I'm still on the fence if I like that the remote uses its own battery versus a rechargeable one. Overall, I like this grip and am excited to bring it to more trips but I think the price is asking a lot and I wish the spring was stronger.

Nice Product!
Nice product! I like the feel in the hand and the 1/4” 20 screw holes come in handy for attaching extra accessories a lot. The only real complaint I have is that the Bluetooth shutter button only communicates with the iPhones volume + button instead of the capacitive capture button. Sure they both act as shutter buttons, but only one can launch the camera app, and it can be very annoying having to use both hands to operate sometimes. I think this is a problem with all phone grips though so I can’t really hold that against this product, hence the perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After 3 months it's an expensive paperweight
Overall, the quality is great. The materials used are metal with some plastic. It does not feel cheap when you hold it, except for the shutter button. While the button and the On/Off switch are metal, the small housing does feel like cheap plastic. I was out with family taking pictures and videos of the event and half way through the day the actuator for the button broke. The button stayed recessed in the housing and became completely useless. After I got home I reached out to Freewell and their customer service was awesome. After a few emails and a short video they asked me to send them about the faulty piece, they tried to set me up with a button replacement. However, their sales go through AliExpress and I was unable to complete any transaction. Every time I did, AliExpress would reject the transaction. In the end, I was unable to get a replacement button so now I have an $80 paperweight unless I use a different shutter button, which kind of defeats the purpose of having the shutter button on the device. If not for their great customer service in attempting to replace the shutter button, this would have been rated lower then 3 stars.I ended up getting a similar device from Ulanzi for 1/4 the cost and it has held up better then the Sherpa shutter button did. If Freewell can't improve the shutter button so it doesn't break, they should make the button available to purchase so it can be replaced.

Received used selfie grip in bad condition which was supposed to be brand new
I received this selfie grip which I bough as New but disappointingly I received a used and dirty one. The battery was already used, there were fingerprints and the box was missing any manuals or warranty documentation. The box did not have any wrap and it was damaged. Beware of used items sold as new.
