Bought these for snowboarding... they have really saved my feet and prevent rubbing.

These are winter socks, while we may not all engage in winter sports, winter is coming, and I find if myfeet are warm - then life is more bearable.As a rule when temperature drops I wear two pairs of thin socks, and that works well enough, and two pairs of cotton based socks is a reasonable metric.The last set of 12 cotton socks I bought from Amazon cost me £11. These are however mid calf length, these socks are full calf length.I bought XL, being on the cusp, as I am a size nine shoe, but these seemed to fit fine.Honestly without wearing these outdoors for a prolonged period with snow and or ice on the ground, which I haven't encountered yet this year.... it's then hard to say how much better they are than two pairs of socks.But I'll give it my best guess.So, wearing these was much like two pairs of socks, warmth was similar and probably better?Thickness is then similar. Comfort was good too, at least from new, how they wear is something time can only test, as this is from new review.These socks are chimera of man made fibre, Nylon 44%, Acrylic 17%, and Elastane 2%, so two thirds (63%) being man made, and Wool at 34% and Cotton 3% making up the balance (37%)However because these are thermal and also relatively thin, for winter socks, I could imagined wearing a thinner cotton sock, and these - come the really cold weather that tends to fall in the first three months of the year, and being able to do so in my normal foot wear.I liked these socks, they are mainly a grey scale, bar a little line of colour, and that helps pair them.I think they'd be good for winters sports, and equally for winter works, which is more how I will apply them out and about in the country.

these are great socks. I can never get a long enough sock, and when you wash them, in the machine they are still the same size and a great sock. I only bought two, and would get more soon for a change. youu cant go wrong with these socks.

I’ve never been skiing in my life but I’ve discovered over the years that ski socks are perfect for cycling in the winter to keep your feet warm, and these Niqiao are a great addition to my existing stock of knee-high thermal socks.These socks are not as thick out of the packet as previous pairs I’ve owned, but they are warm, nonetheless.And they are long. I’m 5’11 and these socks easily reach up to my knee.They are heavily elasticated which means there’s no danger of them falling down and they hold your foot comfortably while allowing them to breathe.I’m not a huge fan of the colours, but to be honest this is the least important aspect of these socks as no one’s ever going to see them as I wear them under leg warmers and with covered cycling shoes.On the whole, a decent pair of socks that will keep your toes warm on all but the coldest days.

I have wore these socks and my husband most days. I machine wash and hang to dry just pulling them into shape. No bobbling, shrinkage, all perfect. I wear boots all year round, and apart from really hot days wear these Autumn, Spring and winter. We decided to actually buy some more and whilst I do this update I have my old ones on sat on the bed. They keep us warm, especially under leggings. These socks are warm and fit my muscular calves very well. If you've got thick calves, I highly recommend these. They offer a comfortable level of compression.

Die Abida Ski-Socken, bzw. Kniestrümpfe, können mit ihrer hervorragenden Verarbeitung und dem meinerseits als hoch empfundenen Tragekomfort prima punkten. Material- und/oder fertigungsbedingte Mängel ließen sich nicht entdecken. Bei meiner Bestellung habe ich mich für die Größe L entschieden, die bei einer 39-42, gemäß der Deklaration, optimal passen sollte. Ich trage für gewöhnlich eine 39, passe aufgrund meiner schlanken Fußform meist auch super in eine 38 hinein und kann an dieser Stelle ein rundum positives Feedback vergeben, denn sowohl Passform, als auch Tragekomfort, zeichnen sich als sehr gut aus. Die Kniestrümpfe rutschen nicht, alles sitzt genau da wo es sitzen soll, ohne das ich mich an den Waden eingeengt fühle. Bei der Materialbeschaffenheit handelt es sich, wie angegeben, um 80% Baumwolle, 15% Polyester und 5% Elasthan.Aufgrund des Kunstfaseranteils, was sich leider nicht verhindern lässt, wird beim Waschen Mikroplastik abgegeben, daher ein kleiner Tipp am Rande: Ich nutze, um dies in bedeutendem Maße zu minimieren, einen Guppyfriend-Waschbeutel, denn nicht immer lässt sich Kleidung mit Kunstfaseranteil vermeiden (was oftmals bei Funktionswäsche, die bestimmte Eigenschaften mit sich bringen soll, der Fall ist). Pflegehinweise sind vorhanden und sollten selbstredend berücksichtigt werden, um sich auch langfristig an den hochwertigen Kniestrümpfen zu erfreuen, die überdies auch angenehm warm halten. Das Waschen bei maximal 30°C, wobei ich hier das Waschprogramm mit 20°C bevorzugt nutze, klappt sehr gut. Bleiche, professionelle Textilpflege (Trockenreinigung), Bügeleisen und Trockner sind tabu. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden und kann 4 empfehlenswerte Sterne vergeben!

These are awesome socks. Perfect fit and great look. They stay up and seem that they will last a long time. Great boot socks.

I was positively surprised when I tried them on as they really envelop my feet, providing a good support sensation that I didn't get with my Fruit of the Looms. This without being tight.80% cotton, 15% polyester, 5% elastaneThe back of the ankle border is raised a bit and the fabric is doubled at that place which provides a nice sensation. As I run every night I believe this will prevent my skin to get dry at that place and peel as it always did with my other socks, providing a better protection.Really glad I chose these socks, I recommend them !
