I have no trouble believing the 5 ton rating.
Sometimes a receiver isn't what is needed.Sometimes you need a Pintle Hitch Hook.Now I have one. Problem solved.This arrived with the bolts to mount it and a clevis pin with a chain so you can't lose it.It's certainly a solid piece (about 10lbs) and Now I have a proper hitch to work with one of my trailers that has a large ring at the front instead of a female ball,I would call this a win. Good quality. Good value.

A nice heavy casting, smooth jaw operation opens and closes easily. A hitch pin is secured with a chain so you won’t lose it. Bolts are included to attach to your truck. Nice finish should last a long time and looks really good.
