My mother does reiki heali along with handmade herbal medicine capsules and other natural treatments. I got these two drums for her because I know she is dabbling into forms of sound healing and already is familiar with my favorite, the singing bowl. I was hesitant due to there being no reviews but let me tell you I was NOT disappointed in any sense. You never know when it comes to drivers and how gentle they'll be so I was ecstatic to see how well they were packed with extra tape on the boxes as well as them being completely covered with bubble wrap. My mother tried both drums in front of me after opening them and they sound absolutely beautiful! I'll be honest that I'm no drum expert (except for guitar hero) but the sound resonated well, the designs on the material leave no weird bumps or scratches, the surface is completely flat and smooth thus the sound of it being hit by the mallet isn't affected in any way. Absolutely love both drums, especially for the price!

The ones with the four seasons sounds exactly as expected. The other sounds cheap and flat; not entirely sure why but even that drumstick does not seem as nicely made as the other. Such a bummer.

I read the previous negative reviews and thought I would try them perhaps to use as a decorative piece. They are not hand-painted... digital color print that is blurry and washed out. One of the drums is not stretched very well and the sound is horrendous. The drum handle is made of pressed particle board. Total waste of money.
