Q: I’m trying to put this storage unit together & although it looks good do I have to put screws in after each step? The instructions are unclear

I purchased this a few weeks ago. It took three of us to assemble it (two to hold the various pieces in position and one to screw the screws in to place). We largely ignored the instructions as they weren’t clear and worked it out for ourselves! Good little unit once assembled so bear with it!

Q: Can the extendable side section be swapped to be on the left, or is it fixed?

It is fixed and cannot be adjusted to the left.

Yes and I am very pleased with it 😊

Q: What type of wood is this item made from?

I think it's pine, it's very solid. I brought it a while ago and it still looks like it was brought yesterday
