Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids Food Storage Container, 14 Cup, Red 2 Pack

while heating in microwave oven the container wall is burned.

Unfortunately with the cost of food increasing faster than our paychecks, we bought a cheap standalone freezer for the garage and I’ve been cooking up a storm packing the freezer with food. We have these Rubbermaid containers in several different sizes depending on what’s going in it. I love these things!! I’ve had them for years. They never leak or break. They’re dye resistant. They stack nicely in the cupboard. I freeze them. I microwave them. They’re sturdy. Thumbs way up.

I make bread dough that sits in the fridge for a day or so 1st. These are great for this use. Or, great containers for a half decently large quantity of leftovers, like soup or chili. It has a 40 cup capacity. I researched containers to use in the freezer, but tons of plastic cracks in the freezer. This has been the best one I've tried. I've probably bought like 15 of these in the last few years. One has a chipped corner from freezing, but is still functional, and all the others have withstood the freezer. I buy them whenever they go on sale. Would also be good for large batches of cookies to use as cookie jar, or as a bread box for 4 sm - 2 large loaves.

We make a lot of soups and spaghetti sauces and stews. I was afraid I might have order some containers that would have been too large. They are a perfect size. These were a bit more expensive but nice heavy duty plastic and strong lid and appear that they should last a long time. They are solid and do not bulge when stuffed with soup. I toss these in the dishwasher and they hold up very well so cleaning is a breeze. They appear to be airtight whether in the refrigerator or in the freezer. The appearance of these is like having expensive Tupperware.
