I gave these 4 stars instead of 5 only because the stitching came loose near the tip of one of the babouches (which I fixed with a dab of Barge cement, the shoemakers' standard). The loose thread only revealed itself after a few days of near-constant use, so it appears to have escaped quality-control inspection. Otherwise the craftsmanship is excellent and the leather itself is remarkably pliable.Be aware that there's a trade-off with the soft leather: the pointy toes don't hold their shape (getting a little mashed and scuffed) but that's the inherent nature of the product: they'd hold their shape better with stiffer leather, but then they wouldn't be so comfortable that I prefer wearing 'em to going around the house barefoot (or stocking-footed) . . . They're a pleasure to wear and the lack of a left/right distinction makes 'em all the more convenient, especially at night since either one fits on either foot!
