Bulldog Original Shave Oil, 30ml

I used King of Shaves oil some years ago, but wasn't that keen on it. I decided to now try another shaving oil because shaving soaps are too much bother.I bought this because it was inexpensive and if it was poor then I had lost very little, but guess what - it actually works well. A couple of drops is all it takes on each side of the face, so a 30ml bottle will therefore last a very long time indeed. It allows the razor to glide easily, but it is not hard to wash off afterwards.The scent I cannot tell you much about, as my sense of smell is rubbish, but it does not smell bad to me.The performance of the product when the price is borne in mind is first rate. I like it and will buy more when it eventually runs out. The bottle is small enough that one hardly notices it in a shaving kit when travelling.

I have used other shave oils in the past and found them quite good. I like this brand so thought this may follow suit but its just okay. As the price is low its not a complete loss and I do still use it but it doesn't prevent shaving irritation and it appears to create drag for me which isn't ideal at all - used in combination with Proraso shave soap and Feather artist club and Popular razors. Would recommend you try Proraso pre-shave, especially if you have sensitive skin.

I went to Amazon with the intention of buying my usual shaving oil, not sure if I am allowed to say but it’s King of Kings which I have always been very happy with. However, I saw this one advertised and as the company has a good name I decided to give it a try. What a disappointment! It is very thin and runny and compared to my usual shaving oil I needed to use 4 or 5 times as much oil for each shave, and even then it was not a smooth comfortable shave.I will not be wasting any more money on this product, I will stick with my usual brand which is far superior.

I was a bit skeptical but works very well. A couple of drops in your hand, then apply to your face and shave. Clean shave little mess. Great for carry on luggage at the airport or simply taking up less space in your wash bag. The scent is better than other products I've tried.

Omg this is amazing, I used before shaving but I end up using after I shave. Even after very bad shave, where you have lots of razor burns or cuts, I use 6 drops, rub in to face and use after shave Balm on top. The pain gone in just 5 min, you can feel the relief, like your razor burns just vanish. Before I found this oil, I could shave every 2 days, now using this oil and after shave Balm I can shave every day, today is my 23 day in row, every day shaving and I do 3 passes. I love this hack.

Not impressed. Takes a lot of effort to get out of the bottle. And then doesn't make any difference to your shave.It's a cheap shave oil, but I won't be buying again. As it's fairly pointless.

When applied to the face it does nothing - at all. When added to a scuttle with soap it does give a smoother shave but it pales in comparison to pre-shave cream.

First time purchase of Bulldog but have been using other brand shaving oils for years (perfect for when you travel, especially if flying!). Very happy with this, bottle dispenses in very small drops compared to other brands so will last a long time!!
