I was very surprised to see the body of this lock is milled aluminum. I don't know how they can sell this for < $10, but here it is! It feels very sturdy while relatively light. The only observation I would offer is that the fit with the bolt is VERY close. There is no slop at all. This sounds like a great thing, until you try to install it and realize that being off more than a couple thousands will cause the bolt to bind up. Most locks like this allow a bit of play between the bolt and housing for this reason but not this one. I ran a drill through the hole to open it up a little. You could also grind a tiny bit off the tip of the bolt itself. It's not worth knocking a star off though because it actually speaks to how well machined these things are.

I put this slide lock on my son's door to allow him some privacy in his room. It was easy to install and works perfectly.

I just wanted a lock to bolster the lock I already had and it does that.

Very sturdy and easy to install.

Came with the extra screws. Easy to install. Nice and heavy weight, small like for a desk or Cabo ent maybe more than a door but still could be used on a door that’s not super heavy
