Bought this as a Christmas present for my mum (for her dog). His old wooden dog kennel was falling to bits. She likes it, more important the dog likes it. As it is plastic it is a bit light, so she has put it just inside the garage door for winter, to keep out of any heavy winds, but will put it outside when the weather improves.

I ordered this kennel for my elderly cat who insists on sleeping outside, whatever the weather. It arrived a couple of days earlier than expected, which was a bonus and I was able to assemble it myself very quickly, though I needed more force than I expected - I had to give it a good thump. As an incentive, I put some dry food inside, and my cat was there, eating it within minutes, but he didn't go in. However, today, two days later, I looked out and he was curled up inside out of the pouring rain. Very pleased with it. It feels very sturdy and good value.

Bought it for stray cats to sit in, they seem to like it but it's a bit small so can't fit too many cats in, but it does the trick and it's nice and sturdy so I know it's going to last.

I built it myself even though 2 people are recommended, so I was all chuffed! Quite enjoyed it too....I have it out back for any strays in need of shelter. Its big too so good value for money imo, and no need to paint or treat like a wooden one would require. Sturdy and good design. Recommended.

I bought this to keep my cat dry and warm when he spends the nights outside prowling the gardens. It’s perfect! He was a bit uncertain at first but soon went in when he had some of his own blankets in there. I’ve also lined the bottom/sides of the kennel with polystyrene board to keep him a bit warmer now the weather is turned. I think he likes the wider entrance and being able to sit up inside, rather than the smaller cat kennels which seem so small the cat is forced to lie down. It’s a hit anyway - I sometimes have to call him inside from his new surveillance post! Great purchase.

Ideally needs to people to put together as it’s bendable plastic pieces that push together. Looks good and the 2 cats I bought for appear to like it. Not rained so can’t review if it waterproof. Worth the money though for cats to use through day while I’m out.

I think I underestimated the size of the kennel, seeing as it was for a stray cat, but apart from that, the item itself was easy to put together, pretty sturdy, well packaged with no chance of damage, and our stray seems to have taken to it well. We've chosen to put it under additional shelter, only because of the especially bad weather but I think the fact that the roof overhangs the main body would work well in terms of sheltering anyway.
