Recipes and daily meal plan guidelines for normal days or when we are rushed off our feet. All types of scenarios are presented so that you can push through and live your life with more energy and a clear mind. Presented brilliantly in writing and easy to implement in your daily life.

great book and explanations how the various foods works with the body and mind. there are recipes inside with the plan. I already have other books from Mark, bodyweight trainer as well and all I can say that his program really works and now the recipes from his book will fuel my body.

A good introduction and explanation about what is known as Carb-Cycling
A good introduction and explanation about what is known as Carb-Cycling. This was something I was interested in finding out more about in a while and this book explains quite well the phases you have to go through to achieve a leaner physique without being stuck in a plateau. There are examples of foods you can eat and roughly the amount you should eat as well as examples of recipes for each of the 3 phases of the cycle. Overall a good and informative read. And as an extra bonus you have some beginner body-weight exercises for beginners if you are not already familiar with his exercise program. Also it's important to mention that this plan will only work if you exercise.

Good, but needs some tweaking.
An interesting idea, and well-organised. Essentially, it's carb-cycling by another name. You have two weeks with quite a lot of carbs; two weeks with less, and one 'finisher' with hardly any, before going back to the start.Where this is better than most books is that it gives you menus and shopping lists for the blocks of eating. So, in theory, you can just head down to the shops, follow Mark's advice and the job's done.Unfortunately, and this is the reason I've given it three stars, where I'm a tall and active man, when I tried to eat as per the heavy-carb block,I still became incredibly light-headed and lethargic by the end of the week, so the 'straight off the shelf' approach needed more adaptation to support a more active lifestyle (it says in the book to 'eat more carbs' - could have figured that out myself).However, it does seem to work: I wasn't hungry, and I could - pretty much - eat any decent food I wanted. As a vegetarian it was slightly harder to get the protein suggested, but that's my choice and not a fault of the book (there are vegetarian meal plans, too).I will continue to tweak the approach as most of the ideas seem sound but it hasn't been quite as effortless as I'd hoped - we all want a magic-bullet, after all...

L’autore spiega in maniera chiara i meccanismi alimentari che evitano l’accumulo di grassi ed aiutano ad eliminarli senza sforzi eccessivi. Ho provato personalmente il metodo, senza applicarlo alla lettera, concedendomi più di un dolce la sera, non eseguendo tutti gli esercizi richiesti, ma applicando in maniera rigorosa i semplici principi di base. Premetto che svolgo un lavoro di ufficio e, per motivi di tempo, è un bel po’ che non vedo un pallone di calcio o un manubrio di una bicicletta. Dopo aver letto il libro, nel giro di due mesi ho perso 10kg, senza patire la fame e senza frequentare palestre o fare decine di chilometri di corsa. Il metodo è easy, healty. Sono sicuro che vi farà ricredere su molte delle nostre/vostre abitudini alimentari da dieta mediterranea. Consigliato per chi non ha più voglie delle diete fai da te, per chi non ha tempo da dedicarsi e per chi ha bisogno di una spinta decisa per cambiare finalmente il suo stile alimentare e ritrovare il benessere fisico..e per chi, imperdonabilmente, non sa ancora cosa sia un porridge..ve ne innamorerete.

I need to be clear about the following: I am a huge Mark Lauren fan and "You are your own gymn (YAYOG)" changed the way I train and do sport.So, why is this book so disappointing? Honestly, because there is nothing really new in it. The "calorie cycling" he could have explained in a single page (he pretty much does this), it repeats terribly from YAYOG, pages and pages of recipes (to fill space?) and the execises are really highlevel (so you need to buy YAYOG in any event.Really a pity - maybe my hopes were just too high...
