Auto chlorinator.
Perfect for its purpose but I returned because I needed the 200 series with the threads. Good product and customer service.

Good solution, but intended for in ground systems
A good solution for auto chlorination. Fill the canister and it will last for 30+ days. Easy to open and close. I would suggest a shutoff valve be place on the output to the pool so water does not flush back into the canister when the refilling. The con is the input and output of the canister is not threaded and designed for the PVC pipe to be glued to the canister. This connect can not be removed. But you and get from your pool supplier a connect that can be added so the pool hoses can be connected.

Easy way to chlorinate your pool and no floating container
I have been using the version (CL110) that has a small tube entering and exiting the unit so it can be installed without modifying the plumbing on your pool. That unit worked fine, but it was easy for the small tube to get damaged, pinched, or turned at an angle that allowed leaking. This unit installs on the PVC plumbing returning to the pool and makes a secure connection possible. I do not like floating containers in my pool because they interfere with the look and they get in the way when swimming. I also, often find anything floated in my pool blocking the entrance to my skimmer. This is behind the equipment wall and works when the pump is running!

Works, but had to make some adjustments
I bought this to replace the one on my pool that was leaking. There's some things I liked, and some things I think that they could have done better. First the good, it is very easy to open and close. Past chemical feeders I've bought were always a pain in the butt to open because they don't have good handles and because you had to put some decent torque on the lid to keep it from leaking (it's like the designers never thought about the fact that someone has to open it and put in new chlorine once in a while). However, this chemical feeder is designed with a stop so that when you turn it enough to close the lid, it snaps and locks in place in just the right spot so it doesn't leak; and since the torque is not high, it's quite easy to open again when you have to add chlorine. Now the bad, which isn't too bad, and honestly is more my fault than the makers... this comes with two inch fittings, but my pool doesn't have two inch pipe or hose, I have 1.25 inch hoses. I had to separately purchase four fittings to downsize the two inch fittings in order to get it to fit my pool. I wish that they would have included fittings with the product to downsize to common pool hoses.

very pleased
I added this to my pool, I load it up with 3" tablets every 3-4 weeks in winter the n water is cool, a bit more often in summer. saves me time and hassle of the floating tablet dispenser.

Best purchase I have ever invested in for my pool !
When we bought the house the pool was set up for salt. People were telling me how great a salt water pool is. NOT !! So we switched back to chlorine and after going thru several types of chlorinating methods, and fluxiating chlorine levels, I decided to bite the bullet and install this little baby. I oversized it a little for my application, which meant just a few more $$. Installation was a breeze. Set the feed rate on the side, go out once a week and add a couple of 3" tablets, then just forget about it!! Awesome product!!

Don't exceed the 50 psi
I've gone through several of these. Once, I blew up two in one day. All because the PSI was too high. I keep replacing them because it's the easiest option. After the nth one cracked from too much pressure, I installed a fixed 50psi reducer (no adjustments). But.... for what ever reason, my reducer is edging up in psi. And once again, my unit cracked. If you are using this for your main water supply from a well, do yourself a favor and have a spare on hand.
