I searched high and low for a little monitor I could hook up to my LiFePO4 RV battery bank without having to bring a wire inside and mount a big monitor to the wall. It needed it to be small, have wires long enough to go between 2 battery boxes, including getting under their lids, and be water proof. This one does the trick. In bright light it's hard to read, but can be seen if you shade it, At night, it has a colorful screen that's very easy to read, and a little power button to turn it off so that it doesn't use up power (a small amount, to be sure, but since it is hooked up constantly, I thought that would be important.) It was very easy to follow the very clear instructions to set it for first use. I had to unhook it because I brought the wires over instead of under my other wires and wanted to correct that. It maintained its settings when unhooked and rehooked to the batteries. It has to be mounted with double-sticky tape to the outside of the battery box, and doesn't come with tape, so you'll need to get some of that. Overall, I am very impressed! It's only been working for a few days, so I'll update my review if anything changes.

Nice little meter.Would be great if it were easier to get programmed.I believe that I’ve got a handle on the system.Time will tell.

This was fairly easy to set up, it would have been nice if a template had been provided for the cutout though.One important thing to note for anyone who is struggling to have the battery percentage reflect the actual percentage of the battery pack instead of 100% is that the "strings" number at the end needs to reflect how many sets of 3.6v batteries make up your lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO) battery, so a 36v battery would actually be ~43v at 100% charge or 12 strings. The instructions include this information, but it's detailed in a green box on a seemingly random area of the instruction sheet. I'll probably go in and change the program to custom eventually and use the manufacturer's minimum and maximum voltages for my battery to make things a little more accurate. Overall, it seems accurate enough and is bright enough to be used on my golf cart.

Just got my new battery monitor in and it may be waterfroof but what a pc. of junk it is. It's very hard to set up IF it can be setup at all. Do not buy!

Waterproof

The display is not very bright and is difficult to see in daylight.I am hopeful that the device is actually water proof and won't be damaged in rain.
