I built this item today, 08/30/25. It took me almost 2 hours and I built it myself. It's as nice as I thought it would look so I'm happy with the purchase. Not to mention the quality seems pretty good. The reason why I removed a star is for the same reason some of the other reviewers commented; some of the pieces don't fit. I took longer than I think I should've because I had to loosen up some screws in order to fit the metal pallets into the other metal bars. 2 of the 12 did not fit not matter how much I tried adjusting the screws so I just let it be. I didn't want to force the pallets and end up damaging the product. I've attached some pictures to compare the pallets that fit and there others that didn't. Zinus should visit and check on the quality assurance team in China to make sure they're making the metal pieces accordingly so they can fit. Other than that, the bed frame is great!

This platform bed frame was a great find. The bamboo and metal combo looks really nice in the room and gives it a clean, modern feel without being too industrial. It fit the space perfectly and made the room feel more put together right away. Assembly was super easy and didn’t take long at all. Everything lined up well and both frames feel sturdy once set up — no wobbling or cheap feel. I also love that no box spring is needed, which keeps things simple and saves money. We purchased two of these for our Airbnb, and they’ve been a great addition, especially for the price. They look good, feel solid, and do exactly what we needed them to do. Definitely happy with them.

Outstanding bed! Just the right size. Sturdy! Easy to assemble and looks great, too. I had some issues like other reviewers. Mattress slid so I put a layer of foam down between the frame and mattress. All good now! The frame’s too low to the floor for me so I added a thick foam topper so I’m higher up. No issues with slats falling out or anything getting loose over time. I had some difficulty assembling the frame as described but that’s a “me” problem. Got everything correct after a couple tries. The multiple attempts caused no damage. The wood slats took some rough handling during assembly due to them fitting in tight. Assembled fine as a single person with no help. Highly recommend! Especially for the price.

This bed frame looks nice and the price point is good. However, the mattress slides around because the slats are level with the frame (a good bed frame will set the slats lower than the frame so the mattress is secure). The bed frame was also frustrating to put together, especially towards the end when I had to put the metal slats in. They didn’t fit easily so I had to spend a lot of time loosening and tightening various parts of the frame until I was able to force them in. This frame will suit my needs for now, but whenever I move I probably won’t be bringing it with me.

I ordered the Zinus bed frame. It arrived within a week. Tried putting it together and it is missing one crucial piece (forgive the image background we are redoing the bedroom). The issue is that I received two versions of one piece, rather than it's paired mate. I immediately followed the information on the directions to contact Zinus support. I used email to contact them and the virtual assistant responded telling me what info to send them to receive support (which I had already provided, but fine). I followed all of their instructions and heard nothing. I called the 800 number and the virtual assistant said that because I had purchased through Amazon, Zinus could not help me and that I needed to reach out to Amazon and then their virtual assistant hung up on me. Amazon says I must contact Zinus to receive support. So you see, there is no way to get help if you have a missing piece. I am debating if I want to take the bed apart and return it., but that's a major hassle. I really would just like the missing piece because otherwise the bed seems nice. In fact, it's fairly easy to put together when they give you all the correct pieces! Really, it shouldn't be this hard to just get to one piece I need to make this bed frame functional. I have spent hours trying to get this resolved, but to no avail. edit: I returned the bed and was refunded. I shipped it following amazons instructions and UPS came and picked it up in July and was refunded a week later. It is now the end of August and I was recharged for this bed frame because it was not received at the factory. However, UPS has the record of picking it up. I cannot control what happens after I ship it back. I had to go back through various customer service communications to try to get my money back again. JUST DONT DO IT. THIS BED IS NOT WORTH IT.

This bed frame was exactly what they say. It took my husband about three hours to put it together with no real issues. He said that the inventory and determining which parts are which was a bit challenging as they use letters for each part in the diagram but do not have matching stickers on the parts. He had to compare the number stickers (more on those later) to lay out everything. The one piece that did not show up in the parts list was an Allen Key ratchet (there is also a standard Allen wrench included) that made the job easier. The ratchet is a one time use item as the Allen head was pretty well rounded over by the time he finished tightening everything. Each part had a nice number stickers at each connection point. This made it easy to line up the parts that need to be connected. He recommends doing a pre-threading of the screws before fitting the parts together as some of the threaded holes had some paint in them that made it challenging to get the screws started. Also,when putting multiple pieces together, do not fully tighten the screws until they are all installed. The last step was installing the mattress support rods. He said that a little over half of them slid into the slots with a bit of downward pressure, but he had to use a rubber mallet to get the rest in place. When completed the frame is very stiff so should hold up really well.

This bed frame is worth every penny. East to assemble, looks exactly like the photos. Arrived the next day, no damage. Zinus is a good brand.

Relatively easy to assemble and seems sturdy. My son is happy with his selection. The Zinus Mattress however seems a little big for the frame but it hasnt fully expanded yet so we shall see.

I like the overall design of the product and that it is sturdy. The headboard is a bit lower than I thought it would be, but I had ordered a 14" thick mattress, which I should have considered. So I'd say a mattress from 8-12" would be the limit so that your pillows aren't positioned where you clang your head on the top of the headboard. As a consideration, this product is packaged like a puzzle into one box. The box weighs about 150 kg/ 300 lbs so if you get it delivered to a home or condo, you will likely need help to move it! You can open the box and build the bedframe in sections and move them to the bedroom for final assembly and yes, one person can do it. You do need to have time and follow the instructions and keep the finished product image handy so you can move faster. The tools included help get it built. I found a couple of nagging items in the assembly; machine screws and the respective holes not lining up where the screw can be finger tightened, but needed a lot of effort to get them in. Not locking down the adjacent side screw helps, but not in all cases. The span struts are supposed to just drop down into the slots on each of the side rails. I had no problem with most of them, but about 5 were almost impossible to set into the slots for some reason. If someone has an explanation or remedy please respond. Overall, the frame is acceptable and solid. If you need to return this, keep in mind you will never get all the pieces back into the original box as required for returns. If you try putting it into several boxes, blankets and strings etc. they won't be able to get a carrier to pick it up. And don't forget it's 300 pounds and you will need 2 people to get it to the door/ car etc.
