This variety of Eschscholzia produces an abundance of bright orange - yellow flowers over the top of fine ferny leaves that are a blueish green. Cultivation Sow the seeds directly where they are to grow from March - May. They can also be sown in September for overwintering. The plants prefer a position in full sun with a poorish soil that is well drained. Sow to a depth of 1/2 thinly in well cultivated ground. Keep the soil moist and when the seeds have germinated thin to approx 6" apart. Seed can also be grown indoors in Feb - March at a min themp of 15 deg C. Gradually acclimatise the plants to outside conditions prior to planting out.
