The hexagon shelves are flimsily and missing pre-drilled holes, the other individual shelves were okay.To put the hexagon shelve together I had to drill missing holes.It would suite a kitten or small cat. I have 2 ragdolls so we won't be able to use all of them.

This is a cool setup but could have used some guidance on securing the shelves to the wall appropriately. The hardware that was sent for these and the way that they attach to the wall was not sufficient for climbing cats. Here’s how I solved that. I aligned the right side holes for the steps and the two right aligned holes for the hexagon and screwed them into studs, no anchors required. I did buy toggle bolts to fix the left side holes so that the wall would support the weight of the animals jumping. A quick suggestion on how to drill the steps into the wall: hand thread the drywall screws through the holes until they’re just poking through the other side and then place the step against the wall. Use a level to ensure that the step is level, then use a drill to drill the screws just slightly in to put some starter holes in the wall. Then back the screws out. Then you can drill pilot holes for the stud side of the step, and you can drill open holes for the toggle anchors. Then affixing to the wall is quick and easy. I am also purchasing adhesive screw covers so they’re not so noticeable. Enjoy!

Assembly required, fine; but they have 5 different kind of screws, and in my box, seemingly random amounts of each. Instructions are less than helpful, but easy enough. I had tons of screws and anchors left over, but there’s one in every available place. Each step has felt like padding, the enclosed shelf is bare wood, and like I say, much smaller than it looks.

Holds well cats love. Only comment is that it is not quite as appealing to the human eye. It does look cheap.

I love this cat cave & steps so much i ordered a second set. So yeah, I agree it’s small inside, but for the price you really can’t beat it. I was looking for a jump off spot on top of a lamp i purchased inorder for my cats to access a long shelf that I’ll be installing (not pictured) and this system is perfect for my needs. You’ll really need to secure it to your studs. I personally used different hardware than what was supplied. The cat cave is NOT attached to my wall because it’s attached securely to my lamp which is attached to my wall. But again I’d suggest reinforcement to your studs. Also, i wrapped sisal around the top and shoved a cushion inside. My cats are 9 lbs and with the cushion they can fit but it probably won’t be a place they’ll choose to sleep in for long periods of time - again, for me it serves as a jump off spot. The shelves are beautiful and very easy to assemble. Instructions mentioned small, medium & large screws, I only received small & large. But i had enough to put everything together and added additional hardware for security. I really like the steps. They look elegant to me and they’re holding up very well so far. Again, I ordered a second set so I’m really happy with these.
