Excellent set
I am relatively new to the world of water soluble oil colours and not used traditional oils for around 30 years (hated the clean up).I have only windsor and newton water soluble to compare these to.Great pigmentation and unusually, very useful colours in this trial pack. Most trial packs leave you needing to buy something else, this one doesn't.It's important to note that although these are water soluble, it is not advisable to mix them with water, use medium specially developed for water soluble oils, if you want an easy clean up. Sticking to water soluble mediums ensures easy and fast clean up with soap and water.The other handy thing with these is that if you already have mediums for traditional oils, these can be used perfectly well with water soluble oil paints. The downside being that you can no longer clean with just soap and water.I found the Cobra to be a little slower drying than the windsor and newton. That was remedied by the addition of some fast drying medium for water soluble oils. With layering I was able to work within 24 hours of each layer when using the fast drying medium. The colours and pigment strength are excellent.I'm sold on this Cobra brand.I'm also a water soluble oils fan now.

Oils without the odour!
I was recommended these by an artist friend as they're not as think as some of the other water-soluble oils. Using them for painting miniatures and they are a revelation.It's great not having the white spirit odour (which I'm sensitive too).Only thing missing is a black and a brown but for an introductory set this is great (and I'll be picking up those colours and more)

Great starter set - you'll want more.
This is a good starter set - if you try them you might well want to find a broad range of colours. They are rated by other painters as a superior water miscible oil, and are really flexible to use - used with Cobra medium they are wonderfully translucent, or thinned with water, compare with water colour/acrylic. Delightful to use, recommend them.
