Ailao Geiger Counter GC01 Geiger Counter Nuclear Radiation Detector Personal Dosimeter X-ray Radioactivity Tester

This is a wonderfully helpful little nuclear radiation detector sensitive especially to ionising beta radiation. It helpfully gives readings various units including micro-Sieverts per hour, allowing safe personal nuclear radiation energy exposure to be assessed, although the (helpful) energy assumptions used are not explicitly stated. Accumulated exposure, in micro-Sieverts, is also given. I have been in the fortunate position not to have to deal with powerful nuclear radiation sources. However, the accumulation function has allowed me to obtain accurate background readings by accumulating readings for an hour and a half or more.

This is a liw fist radiation detector. It dies not have the ticking sound you usually hear when detecting with radiation detection devices. It shows radiation levels in the screen only. There is an audio alarm sound if the radiation limit is currently high or your accumulated level is high I recently had a PET Scan of my body. I was injected with a radioactive fluid prior to my scan. I had a high radiation reading for 24 hours so I know it works!!

The battery runs out quickly

I used the product outdoors looking for radioactive rocks.It worked for a while but with great difficulty. There was no sound, and the display was invisible in daylight.Apparently as well as the rechargeable Lithium cell, there is an internal non-rechargeable coin-cell battery which went flat and had to be replaced.That means dismantling the unit, which revealed that some screws were missing, implying the unit was improperly built or was second hand.It was pretty much useless outdoors, I was relieved when it stopped working altogether. I disposed of it safely.

I hadn't used it much then one day when turning it on it just screamed at me, wouldn't load past the boot screen and wouldn't turn off either. Had to reset it with the pin switch at the bottom just to make it go off.Replaced the tube inside and still nothing but screaming, do your self a favour and pay a little more for a decent one

Beim MESSEN beachten - bei SOLARAUSBRÜCHEN kommen Strahlen bis ins Auto ....Wohnung - auch höhere Dosen.Deshalb immer eine Kontrollmessung zu einer anderen Zeit machen.Durchgehend gemessen - wird es hin und wieder (bei kleiner Alarmschwelle) Alarm geben - DAS ist die Kernstrahlung bei Solarausbruch - da gibt es WarnAPPS // gute Internetseiten zur Warnung.Im Moment sehr hoch - Juni 2024.

Funziona bene. Oltre alla misura istantanea, ha una modalità storia che mostra il grafico delle letture degli ultimi 60 secondi. I lampi gamma stellari si vedono chiaramente.PRO: è molto leggero e la batteria dura due giorni buoni, nessun problema a portarselo dietro.CONTRO: è poco solido. Giocattoloso. Con i raggi gamma se la cava, ma per i raggi beta è poco sensibile. Sulle basse letture è poco preciso, ma è normale per un geiger così piccolo. Ho messo una cover posteriore stampata in 3D con una finestra trasparente ai beta davanti al tubo geiger e la precisione è migliorata, ma non sarà mai quella di un Geiger professionale.Mi sarebbe piaciuto poter scaricare le letture su PC, ma non c'è questa funzione: la porta USB serve solo da caricabatteria.Conclusione: è utile, funziona e costa poco. Se siete dei professionisti uno strumento così limitato non vi interessa, ma un hobbista ci si può divertire.
