After many attempts at trying to learn network programming, I always found myself somehow not very confident.In 2016, while on the bench waiting for project allocation, I read this book. Once. And suddenly I was like Neo seeing the Matrix. No kidding. Things just fell into place.

Che cosa si può volere di più?Lo ho scoperto cercando esempi di datagram messaging in c e non solo ho trovato ciò che cercavo (fantastici e intuitivi anche quelli) ma pure il link del libro! Lo ho preso subito, decisamente consigliato.

The writing style is compelling and makes you want to keep reading. I enjoyed the colorful commentary throughout the book, and the discussion on IPV6.If you need to get a head start on using C and socks to connect your apps then you need to get this book. The sample code provided helps you understand when the documentation doesn't explain how to use all the functions together.It's a quick read and bound to get you going quickly.The second half of the book tells you more details and provides sample code for each function within the socket API.

And witty. What more could you ask for?

This guide has been out for years and it taught me the basics of network programming years ago for free. Absolutely worth it to support Beej and have a physical copy. The printing is okay but leaves a bit to be desired, but the content is absolute gold.This is the most humor I've ever seen in a technical book and if you're looking to learn about network programming, there is no place I'd rather start.

It is free online, but Beej is a good writer. I hope he writes more stuff ...
