MonumentUniversal Radiator & Valve Key No10

I'd foolishly rounded the nut of the radiator and couldn't get it off with either pliers or mole-grips, I bought this as a last resort reluctantly not wanting to call out for a plumber and I can say happily it worked like a charm!

Needed one of these to fit new valve tails to my radiators after replacing the valves. When they call this "universal", they mean it. I imagine it can remove the top valves too, though I haven't tried this.If you're taking old hex-screw tails off, you'll want to get a 12mm hex spanner too (e.g. Monument 2054X or Silverline MS122). The long handle on those makes it much easier to get the leverage needed to loosen the old fittings.

I was unable to get the old rad joints from the bottom of my older rads with a standard rad hex key as these had smaller hex holes in them. This tapered hex spanner did the trick on all of them.

This universal key does not turn on or off old stile radiator valves. Nor can it bleed old stile radiators. Feel this product should have been better described. Universal to me says fits all! Not the case here!

I’m not sure what radiators this is supposed to fit but it certainly isn’t universal and doesn’t fit any standard UK radiator I’ve ever seen.

Got me out of a pickle when spanners weren’t enough - this fitted inside radiator tail and vent/ bleed valves to remove/replace (the whole valve, this is not for bleeding!)

And it is brilliant. I think I needed a 13mm hex, and this covers that and the sizes either side. Really clever, really effective.
