Poison Roses: Boys of Bellerose, Book 1

This first book in the Boys of Bellerose series, was an enjoyable and entertaining read.As a sixteen year old, Billie broke her best friend/boyfriends heart, before experiencing further loss herself.Years later, as a struggling young adult, Billie witnessed a murder. After running for her life, she is rescued by a gorgeous man, for him to turn out to be a band member of her ex.Plenty of intrigue. I look forward to reading book two.

This is well up to their usual standard. Well worth a read if you like love lust and rock music!

I don’t know why I can always guess what is going to happen in Tate James’ books but I can, it doesn’t make me love the characters any less. I love the way she writes and the way she builds up characters and heat. Moving swiftly on to number 2!!!

Billie is having a really hard time, she gets kicked out of her apartment and with no money, no job and hardly any belongings. So she gets ready for a night on the street. She gets an opportunity for work by someone who lived in the same apartments. She goes for a nights work and whilst there she sees something she shouldn’t. She is now on the run and looking for safety when she finds herself in the arms of a band member from Bellerose.This is full of mystery, drama and I was hooked. The pace was fast and there was constantly something happening. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and has some of my favourite tropes. It’s multi POV and very well written. The characters were written well but my god poor Billie had some bad luck in her life. I thought they were younger than they actually are in the book, which I would say is my only criticism they were immature, but still loveable.

…but that won’t stop me. I think it’s a good thing in this instance that I waited for all of the books to be released before starting this series. If a series starts to get to heart wrenching, especially on those cliff hangers I start to lose interest rather than be more invested but that’s just me. I love Rhett and I’m starting to love Grayson, I need a couple of days off just to read this whole series without stop, unfortunately life will prevail and get in the way.

My first book of 2023! And it did not disappoint whatsoever! 😍This is the perfect mix of action, spice, sadness and a rockstar/mafia combo. I binge read this one at 2am until gone 8am, then woke up and finished it and CANT WAIT for the next one to come out!*Begins countdown to 7th of Feb*.This book really had me by the balls ngl. One second I’m so turned on and invested in the sexual chemistry and then literally the next sentence I’m crying my eyes out because wow… men that actually care. Men that respond in the correct, morally right, way and not take further advantage and instead actually whole heartedly just want to put a woman’s wellbeing ahead of their own needs? And protect her above all else? That knocked me on my ass. Not just once but multiple times. I’m pretty sure this series is gonna break me, in a good, miraculous way and this book was an incredible start. The characters are 10/10 (all apart from T.T). And I cannot wait to see what happens next. Such a rollercoaster and my first ever reverse-harem book I’ve read so I’m really excited to see how everything progresses.Here’s one of the quotes that caught me right in the feels and had me doing a 180 from turned on to emotionally destroyed in the space of one sentence to the next:.“You went through a huge trauma last night,” he murmured, his husky tones sending goosebumps across my skin as I squirmed harder. Or at least attempted to. His hold was… yeah, it was doing all sorts of things to me. “Maybe we should wait a few days… give you some time to heal. I’m not going anywhere.”Like damn. Speechless. Being on feb 7th!!!❤️‍🔥💘🥀

𝑃𝑜𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑛 𝑅𝑜𝑠𝑒𝑠As usual these two authors do not disappoint and I'm soooo excited to read more about these characters. I was completely gripped right from the start and this rockstar romance will blow you away.Billie is going through a huge time in her life at the moment and everything is a mess for her. It seems like it's one thing after another. While trying to get somewhere safe she runs right into her past and this completely throws her through a loop.Rhett well he is one dream you will have. He is a protector by nature and all he wants to do is keep Thorn safe and he will do whatever he needs to. These two broken souls can try to heal each other.I absolutely loved reading this book and I love the connection between the characters. They all each have alot of chemistry and it's smoking hot with these guys.The story line flows throughout perfectly and it will grip you on every page. It's full of twists and turns and total shocks and has alot of mystery inside too. I highly recommend that everyone reads this book because it is absolutely outstanding. I'm so so glad this is a rapid release series.
