Tortuga Deluxe Snorkeling Window with Camera Mount

I took this on a 30' Catamaran trip on the Napali Coast in Kauai. I have trouble snorkeling so I thought I would give the Tortuga a try. I sat on a pool noodle and wore flippers while looking at the beautiful reef like I swam down 20 feet! We saw sea Turtles and so many colorful fish along with the reef and corals! I highly recommend this product. You definitely need some personal flotation along with the Tortuga for best results.

Tortuga replaced this items with new one and it works well. Thank you (thumbs up)............ Although we really like this product. it Leaked horribly through the Seams. we used it in ARUBA and ended up throwing it away. This could use better quality.

We loved using this sea window - it worked very well. So clear. But if is already leaking - so I am very disappointed. We are patching it since we love it.

I wear glasses and this snorkeling window is a very comfortable way to enjoy fish watching while keeping my glasses on. It's comfortable to wrap your arms around the device and just float, or hold onto the handles. The view was clear and magnified as advertised. I enjoy wearing a huge floppy hat that covers my neck, shoulders, and back while I float, which made for a very relaxing experience. Easy to blow up and add water.

A great way for all ages to watch the fish swimming around or just see what on the bottom of the lake. Well made, easy to use.

this product is as described. the water seems to leak out, but maybe because mine was used?

Every now and then you wonder what they were thinking! I bought this so grandma could see the reef in Fiji without putting her head in the water (she's 90). Unboxed it in Fiji, unfortunately, and found myself scratching my head trying to figure out where it would actually work? It is literally 1 foot x 1.5 feet in dimensions. Whereas it has handles on the side, but it is unlikely that a child will have the upper body strength to hold their entire torso up so that they could look through it. If you tilt it up -- as you might -- you either have to be heavy enough to keep the bottom plate of glass submerged (i.e. too big for it to work for you in other ways), or the bottom plate lifts off the water and you lose the whole point of eliminating reflection and refraction. It also does not tolerate any waves: I tested it in something like 2-inch swells, and the waves just washed over top. Whereas there is an attachment that appears to be for towing, I can't imagine it would tolerate any wake at all. Needless to say, it didn't help grandma at all, and it now sits in my garage waiting to never be used again.

This little thing works well to see into the water. However, it is much too small to support an adult's weight. I'm not sure why they imply that it can in the photos. I think I actually want the larger version that has more raft and will end up returning this one. The other option is to use it with a separate raft, but that seems really complicated. This would be PERFECT for a child or a very small adult, but not for an average sized adult.
