TOP QUALITY - EXCELLENT VALUE - A MUST-BUY
I guess when you're looking to buy a hard case for your guitar you are faced with a choice - wooden hard case or ABS ? Not a huge difference in price if you shop around but in my opinion there is no competition. I read a number of reviews online and many buyers of ABS cases complained of lightweight, inferior clasps - also cracks in the body shell after a little use. Furthermore on closing the case, the clasps needed to be aligned in order to click in and hold. I once owned a set of ABS suitcases and this was certainly a nuisance. And they are all now resident at the local tip. The ABS cracked on one of them- it's basically plastic - and a number of the clasps ceased functioning - others had a tendency to burst open when you lowered the case to the ground ! I have a wooden case for my acoustic guitar, very similar to the case listed, which could be 50 years old. It's a little tatty but solid as a rock. This case is superb. It's solidly constructed with quality fittings all round - not just on the opening side. It is beautifully made - neatly covered and stitched - and mine has a gorgeous bottle-green soft velour interior. Yet it was the best value I could find online. You might spent thirty or forty pounds more for a case of this quality. Normans charged nothing for delivery and it arrived the next day. Great service. In my view it is foolish to sacrifice strength in favour of little less weight. ABS cases may look smart, but surely the safety of your instrument is the point of the purchase.Normans give you all the important internal dimensions and they are pretty accurate. I checked. An obvious statement ? Not at all. I needed to phone a number of major suppliers to acquire these (I will save their blushes) - and in some cases they had to wander off with a tape measure while I was on the phone ! Unbelievable. Others fail to tell you whether their measurements are internal or external. Important to note that there is a small cut-out in the lining for the end guitar strap button to slot into - making the length (including the button) 109 cm - and you have an extra centimetre on the upper and lower bout. The major issue with a hard case is that it fits your guitar - snug but not a tight fit - and certainly not too loosely. This one is perfect. I might have liked an internal strap at the root of the neck to hold the guitar in place - but the fit is so good it isn't essential.Incidentally, my case was bought for a Hagstrom Viking P - and Vikings as you may know have a strangely sculpted head which comes to a point and gives the guitar a little extra length. This means that the case will be sure to fit any 335 lookalike. I have owned many guitars over the years and would always recommend a hard case for a semi-ac. They're tough units but more vulnerable than solids. Spend the price of a top-of-the-range gig bag and get this one. Highly recommended.

Solid case
A great case, my Barnes&Mullins 17 fret resonator banjo fits in the case very snugly, just a 4 inch gap at the peg end, but the case is so well padded the banjo is going nowhere, my other banjo is a Grafton17 fret open back, although slightly smaller than my first one the, the same applies, once in, its going nowhere, also has nice box to keep strings, plectrums, etc, well worth the money, when you consider what you can pay for a banjo.just got to learn to play the instruments.

Excellent product and good value. Don't trust the reviews (except this one)
This is a really good case and very good value for money. I have a 14" Heartwood Irish tenor banjo which is a very snug fit, but that means it won't rattle around in transit. Obviously I can't comment yet on durability, but the case seems well made and sturdy and I think it will take quite a beating, which, as I play ceilidh, it might have to do. Delivery was faster than expected and the case arrived well packaged. The only complaint I have is when you read the reviews on Amazon, most of them are for different cases (Guitars, five string banjos etc)

Good Quality Case
Very happy with this case as the quality exceeds what I was expecting. My Banjo Uke fitted perfectly and there is a handy storage compartment for strings etc. One point to mention (that has been mentioned in other reviews) is that the case stinks of glue or plastic or something. It really smells bad !! I suspect that this will go in time but every time I walk into the room you can smell it even with the case closed.

It is a must have.
The case is fantastic, every feature I like. Looks really nice, fits well and the padding is a beautiful green velvet. It is made to an excellent standard, very robust and not that expensive too which is another added bonus.

Case is well made but was not a good fit for the Banjolele
Case is well made but was not a good fit for the Banjolele. The banjolele body has around 2 inches of wiggle room all around itThis is an example of the 1989 ukulele banjo wooden case

Plenty of internal room, & decent build quality
I picked this case specifically because of its great value, & the fact that it can hold a Hagstrom Viking, as detailed in another review.Exterior is solid, interior is plush- perfect.I purchased this from Normans Musical Instruments (via Amazon) - and I'd like to add that they provide exceptional customer service. Bravo!

satisfied
the overall quality & price overrode the annoying fact that the lock would not work until I straightened out the locking pins, a simply job but I should have thought the lock was tested before dispatch. otherwise I'm very pleased with the case & would recommend .
