These shelves are only 12" deep which is hard to find and what I needed for the location. In pricing material for making my own and factoring in time away from other pressing needs I couldnt come close to matching this price. I wasn't expecting much for the price. I wanted shallow shelving for my empty and full canning jars. They are collectively heavy when full. When I took everything out of the box I was pretty sure I'd made a mistake as the shelving material is very thin (1/4" HDF) and the metal parts are pretty dainty as well. However, when it all goes together its strength and stability are impressive. Perfect for storing full canning jars and other pantry items. I would not use these in my garage, barn or or workshop for heavy duty use and rough loading and unloading of clumsy or rough stuff.

I bought the unit for my son's college town home and it fits nicely in thier kitchen as they needed additional space for groceries. I like the size as not too big and not too small. They can add smaller shelves within the unit if needed, but it works well for many items. The down side is it was a pain to assemble, so it will be a pain to disassemble or we will have to move as one massive unit. I have another unit simular that easily breaks down to shelves and metal bars for ease of transportation.

The body of shed holes lined up but the roof holes did not had to improvise.
