Faber-CastellE-Motion Chrome Wood Fountain Pen - Dark Brown Medium

I have wanted to add Faber Castell e-Motion fountain pen my collection for some time. I have seen a lot of reviews about them, most of them complimentary, so I thought I would see for myself. I am certainly not disappointed with this pen! It's a very fine writer and I must say the steel nib is so very smooth indeed. There is a small amount of feedback but that I think that can be expected from a fine nib. The pen is very well made and in fact may be on the heavy side for some users. Mine weighs in at 52 grams fully inked up. Something to bear in mind before purchasing if you prefer lighter pens.

It is nice and chunky and writes like a dream. Just as good as my old Mont Blanc (which inks up now)

Just beautiful😁👌 balanced, smooth nib and looks stunning. I know it not a cheap pen, but it feels rather more expensive than it is. I have a £250 pen which doesn’t feel as nice!!!!! Buy one!!!!

The warm patina of the wooden barrel sandwiched between the cold reflective surface of the end cap is what first caught my eye. In the hand I found this fountain pen to have a nice balance and the flow of ink ensures clean and fatigue-free writing. My personal choice is the use of the piston converter filling unit over cartridges. The spring mounted clip is an added bonus. All in all I found this fountain pen aesthetically pleasing and a delight to use.

Great Pen, Was my first foray into high-quality fountain pens after trying a few from friends. Very nice packaging and good writing experience. Is very sturdy and has some heft which takes a little getting used to coming from biros but at least there is no worry of breaking anything.

My son wanted a new pen to celebrate his graduation, and I was delighted to oblige. He really likes the weight of this one, which has a nice 'heft' to it. Particularly nice is the wooden barrel. He's a keen woodworker, so this seemed particularly apt for him and he's very pleased with it. Just a word of caution - it is really quite orange in colour. I think it will tone down with use, but it was a bit startling strait out of the box!

Like:-Great Pen, nice writer and very fast delivery.Dislike:-1. Packaging - differs to image (significantly) and is little more than the pen being slapped in a plastic bag and into a card sleeve. Underwhelming to say the least.2. Hard to tell if this is the black pearwood ordered, or a black resin body - due to lack of woodgrain and cheepo box/label. Looks similar to the second hand resin body I bought last year.
