Let's start with the positives of which there are a number of. The build quality, as with all iFootage products I own, is top notch. You will find very little plastic in this bit of kit. It's mostly metal and quite high quality metal as well. The buckles feel quite premium and when snapped down prevent the legs from moving down even when pressing down from the top as hard as I can. The base is nice and wide and can provide a ton of stability and long as the weight of whatever you have mounted at the top of the mono pod is directly over the center. If you have weight off to the side then this will topple over unless you are using some sort of weight or sandbag. I should note that iFootage is getting ready to release some water bags that are designed exactly for this purpose. Considering the price of this setup, I really feel iFootage should have included one here.So quality wise this thing is top notch. It's in the usability where this starts to get a bit limited. In reality this is really ONLY good for mounting things that will sit on your desk. In iFootage's defense that is exactly what they are marketing this device for. However for $80 I think that's a bit limited for that price tag. Ideally I think the proper price point is around $50. As I mentioned before, if they had included one of their new water bags in this kit then the $80 would be a little easier to swallow.So if you have the specific need for mounting things on your desk top and you only need between 1 foot to 3 foot of height adjustment, well then this is the perfect device for you. If you need something a bit more versitile you should be looking at iFootage's RB-A300 which is exactly the same as this but with a much longer monopod almost 3 times taller than this, has a wider 12" base and is far more versatile than this one while only costing $16 more.

I love this! The base is larger than I thought it'd be, but it's incredibly sturdy and I have zero fear that it will tip over. There's a velvet-like surface for the bottom so my desktop doesn't get scratched, but the base also isn't slick so it doesn't slide unnecessarily all over the desk. The telescoping feature is great and will go much higher than I ever need, but I'd rather it have that ability and not need it than need it and be out of luck. This is really well-made and a great investment!

This is nicely built mono-pod. The stick itself is light weight yet well made and the clamps hold my heavier DSR camera without a problem. The base is solid metal that isn't too heavy, but weighs enough to give it a solid base that won't be easily knocked over. This is a really nice counter top/desk stand that should last a long time.

Wow, this monopod stand is VERY well made. This is professional stuff all the way. I've made a portable 'studio' out of this by using a variety of super clamps to hold all my gear and its perfect to be able to take my entire content creation rig and set it down on any table, and with a quick adjustment to the height I am ready to shoot in any room that has a table to set it on. It's absolutely perfect for what I wanted it for, and I cant rave enough about how well it is made. iFootage is quality stuff and I am very happy with this! Worth the price!

Very stable monopod super sturdy but I don't find it light at all it has some weight to it of maybe a 1lbs or 2. It's well made though and definitely worth the money.
