As described.
Fun for pretend play, worth the money for the amount you get. The reusable bag to keep the pieces in is also a plus.

Granddaughter loves these!!
My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter LOVES “cutting” these fruits and vegetables apart!! They’re also great for practicing colors, naming the produce, pretending to serve, cook, etc. A very durable, recognizable set of veggies and fruits. An added plus is the zippered, plastic pouch they came in that allows for perfect storage/clean up!!

Christmas win!
I ordered this set as a Christmas gift for my 2 year old grandson. The set came in a plastic storage bag, which is great for keeping it all together when he's not playing with it. When he opened the gift, he wanted to start "cutting" the fruits and vegetables immediately, so all gift opening stopped while he spent about 15 minutes playing. The items are small, but they are a perfect size for his little hands. As stated in some of the other reviews, the velcro does have a tight bond at first so he pulled the pieces apart by hand a few times until he got the hang of using the plastic knife and cutting board.Great for working on fine motor skills, but also for working on colors, matching, and sorting...and learning his fruits and veggies ~ so he's learning while he's playing. This turned out to be one of his favorite gifts that he chooses to play with over most of the electronics and other "noisy", automated toys he received.

Knives are flimsy. They broke within five minutes.
I love the idea of kids pretending to cut food as they “cook” meals. I was really disappointed that the “knives” both broke within 5 minutes. The Velcro between the pieces is very secure and the plastic knife was not a good idea. A single piece of wood would be great.

Great Toy and Quality!
Bought these after our daycare had a similar toy. This keeps my LO busy for quite awhile. Wonderful for those fine motor skills identifying foods as well as colors. Velcro sticks together well, the knifes (you get 2) are sturdy. I wish the 2 cutting boards were just a tad larger. But this toy is a must have to keep your LO entertained.

cute addition to any kitchen!
These are a really cute addition to any kitchen or just to play with by themselves. (Even if you have a ton of 'regular' play food like we do) My 3 year old loves them and loves putting a chair up to the counter and cutting his food as we cut ours. They stick just enough so that the kids are able to put a little force into it, but still get them apart. I would definitely buy this set again and give as a gift. I read some reviews about the discrepancy in number of pieces. You get exactly what is shown. The difference in the number is because one counted the two pieces of the fruit as one whole, and another counted it as two.

My children love it!
I bought this set for my students who are 3 and 4, they absolutely love playing with it. The amount of fruit is enough for 2 children to play with. However one of the knives broke the second day they played with it. So the fruit is sturdy and durable but the knives are not.

2yo boy/girl twins LOVE it!
Got this for my 2yo boy/girl twins. They love it! Mainly they love pulling the fruit and veggie pieces apart at the Velcro and putting them back together. They have a hard time cutting the pieces with the plastic knives (probably just not ready developmentally) but I enjoyed doing it! The splitting Velcro give it a nice “cutting” sound naturally, and having the plastic knife hit the cutting board gives a nice “thwack” sound. My 8yo son liked making “mutant fruit” by combining different pieces together. I cut little holes into the plastic carrying case that comes with it, so they can’t suffocate in it if they try to put it on their heads (which isn’t allowed, but it only takes a moment for a tragedy to occur!). I do this with all plastic pouches—cut diamond-shaped holes all over it with kitchen shears. It still holds it shape. Some pieces are small enough to put in their mouths after splitting in two, so be watchful. I would buy this again! My only complaint is I am now constantly cleaning a zillion pieces up lol!
