I wanted to love these, but.....
I have a plastic surround that I affixed these to. I even made sure to clean the areas well including using alcohol. At first I discovered that I need to test them before grabbing hold, because frequently one end would be loose. Then recently I was in another room and heard a thump and one of the handles had come completely loose and fell. Not sure what would happen if I really grabbed one if I was falling.

Work great
While these hold like nobody's business, actually getting TWO IN THE BOX is the tricky part. If you are okay with either paying full price for only one, or spending a lot of time returning until you get two, by all means these are worth it. The best shower handles I have ever found. We have the fiberglass shower insert, and these hold like a charm.
