I like the idea of having a double-walled shaker since I am used to having the single wall shaker when I bartend. The larger single ones are great for putting a pint glass on top of and mixing several drinks at a time, but I wanted to try out a smaller shaker for home use. Especially since I don't make more than one or two drink equivalents at a time and I liked the idea of having the drink be insulated so I could pour as much or as little as I wanted for others.The shaker is pretty small, so definitely more suited for home use, not a commercial setting. It feels solid in my hands, the cap stays on, and they don't leak. However, for being double-walled, I thought it got a lot of condensation on it very quickly. The picture was taken a minute after I had finished shaking my drink. In this particular case, it was Ice, cream and coffee, but that shouldn't change anything.Overall, great little cocktail shaker, easy to clean and seals well.

In the photos you'll see me comparing this Aurora Shaker to a freebee I got from purchasing a particular brandy -- one that I've been using for a few years.The freebee has done the job for me over the past several years and I'm not gonna throw it away, just in case I need it in a pinch. However, the freebee (and just about every other low-priced shaker I've seen online, and even some expensive ones) is a single-wall stainless steel shaker. As well, the freebee is definitely smaller than than the Aurora. The Aurora holds 21 oz max, and is for mixing drinks of 18 oz or less.Right off the bat, the weight of this Aurora shaker is evident.The thing with the single-walled shakers is that when you've got liquid and ice therein, it gets cold and fast. Not so with the Aurora double-walled shaker.And while I can't say that my freebee ever leaked on me, the Aurora has a rubber gasket, the same sort that's found on shakers costing $75 or more.So while this isn't an inexpensive (yet sufficient) single-walled shaker, it's a high-grade shaker that's less than half the price of a craft shaker.So size-wise I can mix at least two (or more) drinks at the same time. What a timesaver when I've got guests all wanting to try some new drink I've invented.It's one of those things in life -- you get what you pay for. If you'd prefer to not have a frozen hand while mixing drinks this could be the shaker for you, even if it's 3x the price of most single-walled, non-gasketed shakers, yet is less than half the price of the really expensive ones.I'm quite happy with it, and I don't have frozen hands.

The media could not be loaded.  I love the hefty and sold feel of this double wall mixer. The insulated double wall lets you mix an extra drink so you can take it outside to have an ice-cold drink ready for you when your first drink is finished. I had no issues with leaking but looking at the gasket there is a hard plastic ring with an additional soft silicon gasket around the inside of the cap. As long as you clean it immediately after use it should be fine but long term it seems like sticky ingredients and juices with pulp could build up in the space between the plastic and the stainless steel. It is top rack dishwasher safe but I still would prefer to have the gasket removable. I am giving this 4 stars because it does everything I need it to do I just wish the cap was easier to clean.

Even thou it does leak a bit it keeps my hand from freezing while shaking. Drinks come out nice and cold! An additional gasket on the pour lid would be helpful. Shows finger prints easily as well but nothing a quick polish won't solve!

The main feature that sets this cocktail shaker apart from similar ones is its double-wall construction. The double wall acts as an insulator and both limits condensation on the exterior and makes the shaker comfortable to hold and use. So far, O have not had any problems with leakage in use; the gaskets sealing the lid on the shaker fit well and are efficient. The shaker is easy to clean, but as another user remarked, it would probably be a good idea to run the lid through the dishwasher after use if you have shaken fruit juices, cream, or any other potentially "sticky" liquid, as the gasket is somewhat embedded in the lid. With a capacity of about 16 fluid ounces when filled right to the brim (which you probably would not normally do), the shaker is a bot smaller than others I have used, but that presents no real problem; if there is not enough room for the ingredients of ore than one drink, you can always prepare the first drink, and then - as they say in the shampoo ads, rinse and repeat!All in all, this shaker is an attractive and useful addition to my bar.

Ordered this for the pub in my basement. This thing is built like a Yeti with double steel walls to keep everything you shake real cold.Mixed a margarita and forgot half of it in the tin for about an hour or so. The ice had not melted and the drink was still good. Try doing that with a standard shaker.The seal on the lid and shaker top is good, no leaks and it pours perfectly.The price tag may seem high, but you are getting a well manufactured shaker that will impress your guests and keep the drinks cold. I will probably order more of these for entertaining by the pool on hot days.This would also make a great gift for anyone who enjoys a little mixology!

Love that this cocktail shaker is dishwasher safe! First thing I did was take it apart and run it through the dishwasher. It came out looking absolutely perfect and ready to go. Mixed up drinks to serve with dinner, and the shaker held up well. Absolutely no leaking from the top or sides. And while the shaker did get cold with the drink, it didn't become ice cold like cheaper, single-walled cocktail shakers. And clean up after using was just as easy as the first time. Gave it a quick rinse, threw it in the dishwasher, and it came out looking great once again. Excellent find!
