Great bit of kit. Worth every penny.
I absolutely love it. Best £30 I've spent for quite some time. Built to last. Makes stripping pallets down for kindling, a piece of cake. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic - Does the job - can take a good beating - ignore 1 and 2 star reviews - old model.
OK,Like it says this is a pallet breaker - so to start with DO NOT buy this product if you want to 'recover' nice, clean, unbroken pieces of wood from pallets - If you want nice, clean etc then do it by hand. You might to need to know some levering techniques in order to get the best out of this device, as people have reported that for some pallets the prongs are too narrow, well there are ways around this issue. You'll need a block of wood or brick to help with the breaking as well (see pictures). It weighs about @7lb/4kgs, seems solidly built, the prongs are all single piece, wielded to the main body, the body itself is very sturdy, and the handle, whilst not being (and this is a guess) solid, does seem to be thick walled tubing. The handle is nice and big and easy to grip.I'd ignore the 1 and 2 star reviews, look to me about an older model from looking at the pictures. As a marker - I dismantle a pallet beforehand (in the old way) and it would take me from 20 to 30 minutes.I timed myself, not rushing, and i dismantled a pallet in less than 15 minutes. So I recently got 9 pallets, and one was really solid, and I must says a gave this breaker a LOT of force to split the pallet apart - and it took is with no issues. (How one of the other reviews 'bent' their shaft - i don't know - but they must have put a lot of pressure on it to do that.Using the breaker, I've uploaded some picture of breaking a pallet, of how I'd start to dismantle one.The picture are -Pic 1 - a standard pallet - 3 'boards' on the bottom, 7 on the top.Pic 2 - To start with, the breaker won't reach.Pic 3 - Here where the block/brick comes in - use it to help lever off one end.Repeat this for all three 'joints'.Pic 4 - Showing here how a larger EURO pallet might look, so the prongs aren't wide enough.Pic 5 - Use the prongs at an angle and lever the block apart.Pic 6 - Use one prongs to level the block up.Pic 7 - If the block is wide enough then lever as shown.Pic 8 - If the block is not wide enough then use at an angle.Once the 3 boards and all blocks have been removed, turn the remaining pallet over and remove the boards from outside inwards - this will help as when levering the board will act in your favour (see one of the other reviewers video clips). You'll then be left with boards that need denailing - I'm going to use claw hammer for this as, whilst it's there, the nail remover will be a bit fiddly - but might be of use for big nails.Overall review - 10/10 - Couldn't be more happier with it.

Do You have a wood burner? You need this magnificent tool
If you are a proud owner of a wood burner, and you decide to burn pallets. Seek no further. This tool will save you hundreds if not thousands of pounds in fuel. Just find a local logisitics depot and carry on, dismantle everything everytime with little to no effort and BURN BURN BURN. This tool is fantastic.

A must have
I use pallet wood in our allotment garden for so many things. The wood from some pallets is decent quality - I built a garden shed from the better stuff. The less sturdy wood I use for compost bins (after a few years it rots down so I can add it to the compost and easily replace the slats with new pallet boards). I used to use a crowbar, hammer and electric hacksaw; did the job but took time and serious effort, and I always ended up splitting boards. This pallet buster makes it so easy! No more banging and prying and worrying about broken boards. The two prongs support the wood on either side so there is less chance of splitting, I can stand upright and use my body weight to pry up the slats (much easier on the back), and the tool is sturdy and feels well-made. If you take apart pallets this item is a must have. Highly recommended.

Brilliant
Just unpacked the item and put it to use straight away. This thing is a beast and makes splitting pallets an absolute breeze. I had a standard pallet stripped down in a couple of minutes at the most. It's very well built and quite heavy which makes splitting easier as you don't need much effort to split them apart. This is a game changer. In the past I have bought chisel bits for my SDS breaker to split the boards off and it was never that good and quite dangerous if it skids off and used a reciprocating saw to cut nails but never again. Can't praise this enough.

Works Really Well and is Easy and Quick to Use
This pallet buster arrived early. It was only wrapped in a thin layer of plastic but then it's solid steel and doesn't really need any packaging. Previously I have used a crow bar and a big hammer to deconstruct pallets, but that takes a lot of effort, is noisy, takes a long time and breaks about 30% of the pieces. But, I currently have a supply of 10 pallets needing processing so decided to take the plunge and buy this pallet buster. This pallet breaker is so much better. It is easy to use, is quick, doesn't need much effort as the bar is so long and breaks fewer of the slats, almost none so far. There is much less splintering of the ends of the wood slats. I haven't tried the nail puller yet as I prefer the crowbar. I should have bought one earlier. If you have more than a couple of pallets then this is well worth the cost and I definitely recommend it.
