Easy to build, ish, looks great when finished. First time building a model since I was a boy.
This was the first model I have built in over 40 years. It was so easy to build and went together well. A few problems with reading instructions, down to myself not Tamiya. Glue is far more advanced, no spider webs. Paint is more user friendly. Going to do a spitfire next as I have had so much fun, back to my childhood!

Cracking kit, great value.
A typical Tamiya kit, with excellent fit and finish of all parts and plenty of detail, plus a gloriously clear, thin canopy. This model was loads of fun to build and has turned out to be one of the highlights of my "squadron".There are numerous aftermarket upgrade sets available for this kit but (as another reviewer mentioned) they aren't really needed. With care and attention, this will build into a cracking model straight from the box. If you were tempted to add a little something, the Eduard Zoom cockpit set really does add another dimension to the "office" but other than that, I really do think that aftermarket sets will be wasted on this little beauty.A pleasure to build and paint and highly recommended, but not for beginners.

lovely kit,the fit is fab,great if you just want an easy build so you can get to the painting and weathering stage quickly,ive bought a few of these older tamiya kits recently and you cant go wrong with them

Excellent buy.
Haven’t built yet but looks to be the usual high quality Tamiya product. 3 alternative sets of decals and paint schemes, 2 of which for Squadrons that were based locally to where I live.

There is no beating Tamiya
Perfect model kit, one you can revisit for different markings over and over again.Also even without after market parts it has everything included for a fantastic P-51And there is even a pilot figure included, something very unusual in other kits!

Model that require painting and assembly. Up to Tamiya’s typical triple A plus standard as usual.

Censored P51 kit? Really Amazon?
The product itself is brilliant. Beautiful Tamiya quality as always. The one star review goes for Amazon for the overdone censorship. Amazon, this is getting out of hand... seriously why was this nose art censored in this kit’s manual? This has happened numerous times now that a kit arrived with some kind of censorship... tone it down Amazon because this is ridiculous....
