Book arrived within anticipated timing. Its condition is good and content excellent. Am well satisfied.

Practical/useful/simple and clear

I enjoy the collection of illustrations, a great resource for artists.

The (few) descriptions given by Bridgman are very wordy and all over the place. It is hard to keep track with what he’s referring to:(For the ear) “The ear is vertically on a line with the receding portion of the jawbone and lies horizontally between the lines of the brow and the base of the nose”.The whole book is like this. Takes a few reads to know exactly what he means which is unnecessarily complicated, a simple diagram would have explained it perfectly. But he seems to be against using them or just didn’t think to do so.A majority of the descriptions are also just definitions for the anatomical names of the parts of the face, which is irrelevant to go into such detail for an art book.Also, half the book is just stories about artists and presidents each with a single page of some illustration of one of their works. Interesting and enjoyable to see, but not helpful art-wise.And the book is quite sexist (not uncommon for the 1930s). The one female artist he talks about, all he can say about her is how incredible her salesman husband was for selling her work and how he shouted it from the rooftops and how he doesn’t know if she’d be where she was without him. No mention of her talents.Apart from all that, the illustrations are very unique and most are informative and an interesting look on how the face is constructed. Not very methodical, but just to look at they are interesting.Overall glad to have, but for entertainment rather than a guide/study book.

Mr. Bridgeman is an excellent teacher. His lessons are kinda dry but easy to understand. Mr Bridgemam is old school and has taught many artists. We used his books in university and you can't find any better. There's prettier texts and more current ways of teaching, but his instruction books are used in university and have taught many artists the foundations of art.

Livro era exatamente o que eu procurava, uma pena que não veio com nenhum tipo de proteção, então chegou a mim com alguns amassados e riscos na capa, mas de resto é incrivel

Me llegó en excelentes condiciones aunque el producto no es lo que esperaba...la mayoría de los dibujos son sketch y no muestra suficientes de técnicas para dibujar como por ejemplo medidas, admito que es un buen recurso para alguien que está estudiando arte.

A must have book for artists. No better way to learn anatomy. So much knowledge and information for such small amount.
