A Reading the Paranormal Review
So Ro is...uhh, sort of determined to get home in time for the holidays and she's...well, she's not terribly pushy about it, but she still kind of is at one point and I'm super happy Dash squashed her demands right off because No, Ro. The world doesn't revolve around you no matter how much you might think it does.Except she ended up with a hunk of an alien reindeer for her pushiness, so maybe it DOES revolve around her. (I'm still glad Dash stuck to his guns about delivering the sick kid to her family, though.)So. Rowan has a few issues of the family variety she needs to work through. She's a workaholic whose absentee father did a real number of her and her sister and she's in danger of falling into his patterns if she's not careful. Her sister's hurtful words on just that subject are sort of the push she needs to make a concentrated attempt to actually make it home like she said she would. Which, quite fortuitously, puts her in the orbit of Dash and his small ship. One pint-sized intimacy-blocker keeps things chaste between them until they hand her off and can GET DOWN TO BUSINESS. Sexy times, yessssssss.Alien reindeer shifters, man. It's such a weirdly fun idea.-Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

Good read
I love Kate Rudolph's books. This book I only liked. For some reason I struggled to get into it. But once I got further into the story I started enjoying it.

Real people, real conversations, and an alien reindeer.
Rowan felt like a very real as well as relatable character. She's an overworker who enjoys her work, but she's not the cliche "workaholic lady who is too good for family, but turns to mush after spending some time in a small town with a good looking guy." It's very real circumstances that have led to her not being as close to her family as she would like. When you enjoy your work, it is easy to become loyal to it and have to focus so much time on it. And distance even on earth is a big enough deterrent for most of us, and Rowan is a planet away. She'd like to be the perfect sister and the perfect aunt, she just doesn't really know how. (And, slight spoiler, she doesn't have to give up her hard-working identity at the end, making a completely out of character choice to abandon her former life, but rather, seeks a way to find more balance). She's also a bit straight and to the point in a way that can border on rude, but she's a person of logic and doesn't completely demand the world caters to her schedule.Rowan and Dash are both dedicated to their work and both have a strict travel schedule to abide by, so it only makes sense that they would end up traveling together, and for their travels to result in a few little snags.

A very enjoyable sci-fi Christmas romance novella.
This Christmas sci-fi romance novella by Kate Rudolph was well written, with well constructed sentences and few typos. It was wonderful and heartwarming. The reilendeer alien flying reindeer shifter idea was great, and Kate's execution of the idea was excellent. I liked how our reilendeer hero was a naturally happy and optimistic person, and I enjoyed how hard the heroine tried (and succeeded) to get to her family to be able to spend Christmas with them, no matter how many obstacles life through in her way. There are lessons about persistence and not giving up there. The world building was fun and well done, the characterization was top-notch, with both hero and heroine being alive, vibrant individuals. This story had low angst (internal conflict) and medium to high stakes (external conflict) which tends to be my preferred narrative structure for romance novels. This novel had lovely winter and holiday details with the winter fair that the hero and heroine took her nephew to, and this story ends of a fully satisfying Happy Ever After ending. These two characters really deserved to have an HEA together! Heartwarming, and I recommend reading this by the fire with peppermint tea or hot chocolate beside you.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rowan and Dash
Loved the Christmas cheer in this story! Fate brought Rowan and Dash together. Rowan had to get to Earth for her sister and nephew to celebrate Christmas. When she is able to get a ride with Dash on his shuttle, she feels lucky. There is an immediate attraction between the two and the romance takes off from there. With just a few bumps along the way, they arrive at her sister's house together and celebrate the season. This is a quick read with a happily ever after.

Holiday fling, with heart...
Dash is an all-around good guy, as a Reilendeer he spreads good cheer, and for work he uses his shuttle to help families with sick kids get between home and the best children’s hospital in the solar system.Ro... is taking a look at herself, and her life, and wondering if her priorities have been in proper alignment... then she meets Dash while trying to get home for the holidays and discovers someone’s who inspires her to be her best self, and cares enough to help her prioritize the things she realize matter most, to her heart. This quick read is a little bit adventure and a lot character making for a done in one page-turner.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
