Boost your mood and health and be the best version of you!
What a fantastic surprise to receive in the post this week….a work of genius from my very talented friend, coach, mentor and educator Dulcie Swanston and her super clever co-writer and Dr Iain Price (PhD)! One of my favourite things about this super smart partnership is that they make really clever science simple and relatable to less educated humans and everyday life 😀For me it really tapped into my interest in human behaviour and I learned how we can take everyday tasks and activities that you may do in isolation and realise the physical, mental and emotional benefits of doing them in stacks! This is so much more than a book….the back story to it is inspirational and is born out of a lockdown idea that brought many people together from all walks of life who had something in common….whether it be wanting to feel good, be healthier, improve mental health and well-being or simply be happier! It was also a great way for Dulcie and Ian to raise funds for charity through their network over 52 weeks by sharing a scientifically proven tip each week that may boost positive chemicals in your brain and improve your mood.My personal prescription that I found enormously helpful during lockdown was #Tip1, #Tip4, #Tip6, #Tip7 and #Tip35The last few months have been really tough for me personally. Unexpectedly losing a job that I had thought was going to open new doors for me and enjoy a long career in a new sector that I was enjoying being a part of. I’ve not really spoken about it publicly, other than to people close to me for a few reasons, mostly pride and shame, and I am really grateful for the love and support I have received from those people.I have also found enormous help in the things I have learned from joining in with the 52 Project and some of these habits have honestly kept me going at times recently and given my mental health a much needed boost and restoring some confidence and resilience. A huge thank you to everyone involved in The 52 Project and especially Dulcie and Ian 🙏😊I whole-heartedly recommend this brilliant book….everyone can find their own personal prescription in here that can improve your energy whatever your circumstances!

great for diving in and out
Iain and Dulcie, what a great book. Im not good at reading books form cover to cover and you have written this so as we can dive in and out as we please, and what great ideas, largely organised around pleasure rather that avoidance of what we like, so while there is a cold shower, there is chocolate and red wine.A great book i would recommend to anyone who is not feeling at their best.

Fantastic, Awesome Book...
I really loved reading this amazing book - 'DOSE Personal Prescriptions for a Happier Life', by double act and dynamic duo, Dulcie and Iain.Choosing your own selection of the 52 tips which are right for you, is easy and quick to do, simple to apply, and a lot of fun to do... AND what's more, they work folks. My particular favourites are the Cold Showers, The Plank, Red Wine and Wear Something Bright. The science behind each of the 52 tips is clear to understand - written very succinctly, with the supporting science given for you, which I valued. AND, if you don't want to know the science, then simply skip that bit and trust them that it all stacks up!Talking of stacking up... each of the book's 52 tips is crossed referenced in an easy to follow guide so you can apply literally a stacked set of tips in one go - isn't that cool uh?This is such a clever book, written simply so you, the reader can go... 'oh yeah, I like that, that's dead easy to do - I'm gonna apply that right now in my life!' Then just notice what you notice in the coming days and weeks - because you will notice change - can change for the better. So come on, what's not to like about that people. So, BUY the book, you gonna love it.

It’s a perfect size for popping in to a bag and taking to work or on weekends away. I love it and found myself relaxing even as I just flicked through it.‘Unputdownable’, laughed & learned some things too especially with the science behind it! Such a positive book, a must read for all!

Great tips and great stacking suggestions
This is such a readable, practical book that will have a positive impact on your life and how to live it. Perhaps even more important - how to live your life to the full and enjoy being alive! The 52 well-being tips start with- What's the Big Idea- there follows an explanation and then the science to back up the assertions. I loved the encouragement to stack- be that dancing whilst waiting for the kettle to boil or starting the day with a glass of water. Dulcie Swanston and Iain Price make getting happier so much fun.

Accessible and thought provoking
Great to receive this book this week. I really like the way in which Dulcie and Iain lead the reader through each tip. The tips are both accessible to anyone as a result and are equally thought provoking: a rare combination! The bite size tips also mean this is a good book to dip into as relevant for something specific or simply peruse at leisure. Highly recommended.
