It works, however...
Edit: I ended up returning this product not long after I wrote this review. While it could technically be used for small mends, in the amount of time it took with threading, fabric placement, and operating the pedal, I could have just hand-sewn the mend. It was not worth the hassle.———————-Original review:In my younger years, I used a sewing machine often -- the 'old' kind that weigh a ton and were best left on a table. But it was an efficient powerhouse that you could sew entire outfits with. This is not that sewing machine. It does mending, once it is set up properly (mine was not), but I'm wondering if it could handle patterns. It's not for beginners. Even with the instruction manual and diagrams, sewing machines are tough for beginners to put together (thread, dials) and use just from instructions. In the photo, I placed a 20 oz water bottle next to the machine. I do not have the fitted table on the machine, but that wouldn't make much difference. I do feel that the official photos on the product listing are deceptive -- they make the product look twice as big as it is. I just sewed a hole in a t-shirt, and it went okay enough, but I think it needs some oil in all of its parts.Pros:- It IS small, thus easy to store.- It DOES sew, you can mend with it.- The instructions come with a QR code for Customer Support in WhatsApp, which I intend to use.- Mine came with two small bags of bobbins, a threader, a small cloth with a test stitch in place, and some kind of pin.- It does come with everything needed for sewing.- It is affordable, compared to other machines.Cons:- VERY small, so everything on it is small, including threading mechanisms.- Others have mentioned the short cords on the pedal and power cord. This is true. I operated the pedal with my hand as I pulled the fabric through. This works for short mending, but I can't imagine sewing an outfit this way. I'm guessing the cords are maybe 3 feet each? Great for small spaces, but cumbersome to work with.- A warning -- when I pressed the "on" button, it started sewing, which was unexpected and I had to rethread the needle a few times.- Other questions I have, I'll have to test over time. It's useful, cost effective, and good for small spaces. Whether mending is all it can do, time will tell. Until I adjust to its quirks, it will involve more work for me. When I know more, maybe I can update this review.

Bait and Switch Reviews
I didn’t expect anything fancy as I just needed to do some basic stitches every so often for crafting. I thought this would be a good basic, easy to store machine to at least get the job done.First of all, the item was used when I opened it. The person before left the scrap fabric still connected to the threads/needle.The cord to the peddle is so incredibly short. It was kn the very edge of the little desk and I still had to find almost 4” of stuff to put on the ground for the peddle so it could be used. The power cord wasn’t any better. The instructions were less than great- but I at least know how to set up the thread already. A beginner would never be able to figure those out easily though. But most importantly- it didn’t work. I tried so many times and soent well over an hour trying and I could not get it work. The bobbins kept getting jammed, the needle wouldn’t move up and down properly, etc.Not sure if I just got a dud and that’s why the person before me returned it, or if they all are like this.I tried to go back and read reviews but it would appear that most of the reviews (that are English or at least have photos) are not even for this product. The 4.7 star rating that is there today is a total bait and switch listing.Returned same day as delivered.

Deceptively Simple and Deeply Frustrating
It came clearly preowned, including someone else's flossing pick in the box.The whole thing worked for a good few minutes and I got most of what I needed done (yay), but when I came back to make some additional stitches it suddenly stopped working. There's no visible reason for it to have jammed. The line looks fine. I've tried rethreading the thing to see if that would help if it were misreading tension, but it's done nothing. I've tried stitching manually with the turn dial but I can feel a mechanical stoppage. It won't work with the on button, the pedal, or the dial. And I'm not thrilled to have to do major internal maintenance on an object after having it for only 30 minutes.

This is a piece of crap, do not buy! Cheap and does not last anytime, does not sew well at all
I thought this would be perfect for minor repairs and light sewing, it quit working after less than 5 hours of use. The foot pedal cord is way too short to put on the floor so you have to use one hand to press (or press machine) to sew. It does actually sew a true stitch but very difficult to use. I hemmed 2 pair of pants and then it just decided to no longer work. I felt like I was using a toy, it's tiny. I hate it was too late to return or I would have. Spend a little more and buy an actual machine, this one is worthless and I would not recommend it at all. Waste of money.

Great for seam repairs and some straight line alterations.
Works really good. Very lightweight so be prepared with some rubber type mat to set it on. Do a few practice runs with scrap material to get a feel of it. Practice threading. Pedal cable is very short, my hubby added a connector cable.

Immediately broke.
Due to reasons, this machine was purchased late last year as a gift for a procrastinator, and only just now used for the first time.It is not an intuitive machine, and it is fragile. It is exactly what you should expect for this price.

cords to short to use
This little machine may work like a dream-but I wouldn't know. The cords were so short I couldn't use it. Ok, I added an extenstion cord for power. But the foot pedal cord was extremely short. I tried puting it on a samll step stool, but it still didn't reach. If I had used a higher step stool, my knee would have hit the bottom of the table. Had to return.

No sew
The thread would break. It’s for a child but it made the adult cuss it and return it. So frustrating. DO NOT WASTE your money or disappoint your child with this piece of cheap junk. No Merry Christmas present here.
