I've been Koi keeping on and off for some 25 years now so I generally know what brands to trust and what to give a wide birth to. With Vyair you are guaranteed a good strong, solid product and for £50 including delivery, it's very well priced.The unit it's self comes with a 5 micron sediment filter, granular activated carbon filter and block carbon 10 micron filter. You can upgrade the sediment filter down to 1 micron which will remove a lot more but you'll have to replace the filter more often than the 5 micron that comes with the unit.The Vyair 10" is easy to setup. Most local hardware shops will carry any BSP fittings you wish to use or Screwfix at a push. The unit does come with everything you need to connect to a garden hose. I chose not to use these fittings as I prefer Speedfit pipe. Remember to always use PTFE tape when tightening up the fittings. Really pleased with this item. Wanted a filter for tap water direct into Discus Aquarium. I have paired with a nitrate removal vessel and have them installed under the tank, then just run a hose to it at water change time. So far so good. I got a good set of instructions and fittings, set up was very straightforward.

easy install I now have an instant safe water supply for the KOI pond, no more overpriced chemicals.

It would have been nice to have had instructions for installation, such as direction of flow and what the red buttons on the top are for (presume air bleed) as well as instructions for installing filters, torque settings and recommended replacement period. Other than that does the job for my aquarium.

Put of buying this since building my new pond last year, I like getting value for money at the the cheapest price, I was blown away by the size of it and even plumbers tape was supplied and the ease of putting it together supperised me, so value for money YES would I buy from this company again yes 5 star

Filter up and ready for action.

While the filter is cheap(ish) - it is not meant for outside at all.1. It is not frost protected2. The screws holding the filters to the top mount bar are terrible quality - and starts rusting straight away. The rust leaves ugly mark on the white mounting bar. For outside use with water - it should be marine grade stainless steel screws.4. They could have put a flow limiter on the "input" for the flow to stay below the required l/m - now you either need to estimate or purchase an additional flow meter to stay below the 4l/min for best filtration.
