Delightful
I love Anna's sense of adventure, her positivity and her flair. She sets out to do hard things and is honest about the ups and downs, making her very relatable. It takes courage to be raw. I absolutely loved reading about this particular barefoot adventure and getting glimpses of the inner workings of her heart and mind. I also really enjoyed the descriptions of the scenery along the route as I've never been to this part of the world and I love all things nature/outdoors. I felt like I was there. She is a wonderful writer. Once I started her book I didn't want to put it down.

Anna Runs a Righteous Route
Anna again writes an inimitable book about an adventure that only she could have imagined, produced, participated in w many others and grown from. Her style is easily readable and intensely detailed. Her eye for landscapes and landforms translates into a fascinating tale.I’ve read several of McNuff’s books and each is a gem. She lives a life many dream of and reading about her adventures allows me to be there in spirit.I’d love to meet Anna, Jamie & Storm for a weekend excursion anywhere on Gaia.Highly recommend this even if you’ve never put on a pair of sneakers.

another amazing adventure from Anna
Annas middle name should be adventure. Another story that makes me smile, laugh out loud and take a moment to ponder. Girl guides are so lucky to have Anna to look up to. Thank you Anna for sharing your story. I look forward to more from McNuff.

Another fabulous book by the amazing Anna McNuff
Read this book, read all Anna’s books, and change the way you look at the world. If she can do what she does, we can all push ourselves a little further when things get tough.

Uplifting and Inspiring
I have read all of Anna’s books and her writing never disappoints. She shares the reality throughout her journey, a frankness that is warming and makes you feel like you are a passerby watching the moments described in the book. I really enjoy the way the book takes time to share all aspects of the experience; the running, impact on relationships, meeting new people, sleeping and eating, which is something Anna does so well in every book. It draws you in and allows you to connect to the experience in your own way, whilst reflecting on a potential personal challenge - whatever that may look like. It is encouraging and uplifting whilst maintaining truth and realism throughout.

Her Best Yet
I have read all of Anna’s previous books, and in my opinion this is certainly her best. As she has matured so has her writing style in the descriptions that she has used to describe her epic run, her moods and feelings she really give you a sense of what she was going through during this journey. My enjoyment of this book was further enhanced by following the YouTube videos which covered a different aspect of her journey and gave the viewer further insight into her changing mods from very down to exuberant. I look forward to meeting about her next adventure.

Joyous
I’ve read Anna’s other books and this is my favourite so far! Anna has such an infectious enthusiasm for life and it shines through in the pages. An amazing tale of adventure and athleticism, but more importantly of the people and places (and coffee and cake) she gets to know as she travels through (Bill Bryson has a successor!) Anna is a great writer and has a hilarious turn of phrase that really tickles me. I’m very much an armchair adventurer but Anna inspires me in lots of ways, not least her big and open hearted approach to life and people.

Pure inspiration
I loved this book! Honest, funny and very inspirational. McNuff is a master storyteller who lets the reader in on all aspects of the adventure. With an entirely unique voice, she manages to find exactly the right tone to tell this story. I don’t think a book on running has ever made me cry at the end before, but this one sure did. If you’re an even remotely adventurous person - read it!

Honest account of the ups and downs (literally) of running
Wow! This book covers Anna's challenge to run the length of Britain barefoot in her role as Girlguiding ambassador. It has highs, lows and everything in between. I was lucky enough to run with her for a few miles in Leeds as part of this journey and whilst Leeds is skimmed over in the book, the passion for running and enthusiasm for spreading the message that girls can do anything comes through each and every page. Enjoyed every page and can't wait to see what comes next - and maybe join in for longer next time!
