This larger sized Barbie is absolutely lovely. She's reminds me of how Barbies used to be made, with soft rubber type material legs and arms which bend without being visibly articulated at the joints. Her hair is beautifully soft and I didn't need to wash it to rid it of hair setting products.

The Barbie arrived well packaged and safely protected, as expected from such a good quality toy.The doll itself comes very complete with spare shoes, accessories and a lovely dress!Well, what can I say? As soon as my daughter put her little hands on the Barbie, she kept smiling and kissing the doll as if it was some sort of Human… Basically, she described it as being her favourite Barbie ever… She has been having a great time with her new doll and is just over the moon, and so am I. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this Barbie to anyone interested.Thumbs up from us!

I have two very excited daughters right now. One of the is three, and is the pre-schooler I was envisaging this doll being for. The other, is six, and of course, is 'sharing' this new doll.The doll is indeed slightly larger than a standard Barbie doll. The skin is a smooth silicone type feel. And, what caused a commotion, this doll can bend her legs at the knees. None of their others can, leaving them to be sitting somewhat awkwardly on the Barbie furniture that they have.The quality of the doll is mostly OK. I know why the do it, but I wish there was some other way of attaching the dolls into the packaging rather than through using strong plastic ties. The head of this doll had 4 sharp pieces of plastic sticking out of the back of it, which I had to very carefully remove.The changes of clothes have proven to be masses of fun for the girls, and Barbie has had to go to sleep each night with her face mask on.It isn't a cheap doll, but it will almost certainly be loved wherever she ends up.

As a kid I always wanted the original Mattel action figures. Unfortunately, my parents couldn’t afford them, so I had to be content with the cheaper copies. Yes, they kept me happy but the quality just wasn’t the same as the originals. They weren’t as durable, their joints lacked the same level of mobility and they were not as detailed and realistic looking.It seems that the same thing still applies today.This original, larger size ‘My First Barbie’ from Mattel is top quality. The body isn’t made of hard plastic and has a far more realistic look and feel about it. The joints and limbs move and bend far more like a human’s, although surprisingly her head only swivels from side to side. Her outfits are also pretty and well made.Our granddaughter isn’t yet three but the larger size and clothes that open and fasten their full length with Velcro mean that she is still able to get a great deal of enjoyment from dressing and undressing Barbie, brushing her long blonde hair and just generally playing with her as she makes up stories.One small criticism is that the hair accessories that Barbie comes with are fastened to her head with thin but fairly stiff plastic ties. These are difficult to cut through without cutting through some of Barbie’s hair and when cut they leave short plastic spikes sticking out of her head.Good as this Barbie is, I struggle to come to terms with the price tag of around forty-seven pounds, hence only awarding it four stars.

I've been searching for the perfect doll for my 3-year-old niece, and I finally found it! When she unwrapped this gift, her eyes sparkled with excitement. The moment she held the doll, I could tell it was the perfect fit for her little hands. She was instantly captivated by the soft, poseable body, which allowed her to play out various imaginative scenarios.The accessories included were just right for her age, with easy-to-change outfits and props that encouraged her creativity. We had a lovely time dressing the doll for a party and then for bedtime, laughing together and bonding over the fun we shared.The quality of this doll far exceeded my expectations, and I have a happy, entertained niece to show for it. This one definitely deserves five stars!

Granddaughter loved the Barbie & all the accessories with it.She loved the case & all the little shelves etc to place all of Barbie’s shoes & things.

Just love her . I know she was designed for the young but she is also a great addition for collectors. This Barbies unique size makes her so easy to make clothes for. In the first picture she is wearing Liv/Jazzie flat maryjanes. In the second photo she is wearing Addison Rae Boots. The boots don't fit perfectly but display well. I love how her legs bend & click like the Barbies from my days of play. Her arms also bend and & click. This is one doll you will not regret purchasing. Will be buying Barbies friends in this size as well.
