Works like a charm!
I recently bought a android head unit for VW CC from aliexpress. Had several issues installing this head unit which includes the backup camera not working (screen would go blank) when the engine was on. Basically it would work absolutely fine when the engine was turned off. After doing some research online I realized I had only two options left 1) Install a 12v relay 2) Install a capacitor filter inline. Since I had already closed off the head unit panels and was done with the wiring, I decided to give this product a try. I attached the diagrams (Original vs Modified by me) I used to install it. IMPORTANT: So before doing a permanent setup I decided to first test the device. I attached everything as shown in the "modified" diagram. When I turned on the engine the camera instead of being dark like before, it started showing the video feed but unfortunately had lots of interference (huge bands running across the screen). I thought that the device doesn't work. Then I decided to re-do the ground by attaching it properly to the metal part of the trunk. And BAM!! the camera worked with good video feed!

2013 GTI | Simple and works!
Works great on my 2013 GTI with VW PWM electrical. At first I thought I had a defective unit, but after reading ss2902 review it turns out I had a grounding issue which was leading to the box not working properly. After grounding to the passenger tail light ground in the back panel, I had no issues! This turned my fussy backup camera (when the engine was on) into a clear picture with slight distortion (prolly the cheap backup camera I used).

Regrettably did not work in my 2006 BMW X5 E53
This Dasaita capacitor was intended to stabilize the variable voltage (pulse width monitoring (PWM)) supplied to my reverse lights. This voltage stabilization, in turn, was supposed to keep my reverse camera from blinking/flashing; it did not. I used two 4/5-pin relays to separately supply 12-VDC from the battery to the reverse camera and to the reverse trigger wire on the Kenwood head unit. When the reverse lights were activated, the relays made a buzzing noise indicating that the PWM voltage from the reverse light power supply lines was not stabilized by the Dasaita capacitor. I had an unused "warning-canceller" capacitor for headlights (see photo) that solved the PWM issue, and I returned the Dasaita capacitor -- it is unclear to which applications the Dasaita capacitor are applicable.

Contains: Capacitor + Diode
First it didn't work. Then I took it apart and saw the label was in reverse on the box. Rewired and it started working. It does not filter any noise on the image. Or at least not for me. What's even worse, the camera does not work with the engine running. I'm disappointed. It's a fairly simple thing: a diode and a capacitor in a plastic box. The price might worth the time not building it yourself. It can work for your purpose, not mine.

Indispensable
The video feed from the backup camera in my car is sent via a transmitter to a receiver connected to the infotainment system. There is no wire connecting the camera to the head unit. The video appeared fine when the engine was off but whenever the engine was running, there was a lot of interference. If anyone has a similar set up, this was how I connected the device to quell the interference.Simply connect this device between the power source (reverse light) and the transmitter, which also provides power to the video camera. That's all there is to it. The video feed is now crystal clear.

Not Much Improvement
Installed in my 2001 Ford e350 with a LeeKooLu camera and no difference. The screen is phasing like crazy

Works as advertised.
I installed a trunk handle backup cam on my BMW that uses a wireless transmitter/receiver. The transmitter advised to wire it to the reverse light power/ground but due to the PWM POWER THAT BMW uses I got no picture when the car was running. I bought this in hope that it would rectify the situation. Luckily after install all seems well. The camera and wireless unit are not super high quality so I still get some interference but it was worth the trade off for not having to tear out a bunch of interior to run the cable to the head unit. Definitely worth the cost.

Will provide a constant 12V to your camera...
Worked as expected. You might think that your reverse camera is working when your car is on but the moment you start your engine. The camera will not work. Since there is a voltage drop on the reverse lights. You need this relay to provide a constant 12V to your camera.

Prodotto consigliato.
