Plugable 11-in-1 USB-C Hub, 100W USB-C Pass-Through

Updated the review with three more stars for customer support that was professional, efficient and easy to deal with. Original Headline: Pass through charging only worked for 7 months Original Review: I used this dock a handful of times for 4 months after I purchased it, primarily for the pass-through charging since my laptop's power socket stopped working. About three months ago, I started using the dock daily, shortly after which it stopped supporting pass-through charging. Thankfully I fixed my laptop power socket since then. It's still good for data transfer for two monitors, my keyboard, mouse, and another usb peripheral, so it gets a star there. If my laptop power adapter was unplugged, and I relied solely on the dock, my monitors will flicker, then disconnect and reconnect every few seconds, as will my usb peripherals. There's likely thinner wiring in here than what's needed to support its specs, but I don't want to open it up since I still need it for daily use.

Works great so far. The m multiple USB A slots are handy as I have a number of older devices that use that format.

Well made, small footprint, plenty of ports for all my needs. Perfect. Initially had issue where pass-thru power was not sufficient to charge my specific laptop. I was using a 65W supply, but the pass-thru wattage was insufficient . Contacted their help team who were very quick and helpful to diagnose the issue. Thanks to them for their professional help. After switching to a 100W USB-C supply, the issue was resolved and things are working nicely.

This is a great dock for the money and it does exactly what I need. Supports 4k at 60 hz as advertised with no hiccups. I did have an issue with the aux audio input. It stopped working entirely. Fortunately, Plugable support was helpful, super friendly, and shipped a replacement dock under warranty at no charge. This new dock immediately resolved the issue. Hopefully it lasts as well. Five stars for excellent support and customer service. Shout out to Michael!

This was replaced for another unit and I had the same issues with power passthrough. As in, it didn't work. I was walked through a firmware update and that also made no difference. I can't understand why this does not work. I have a 65W and now a 75W laptop and you simply can't use the original charger from the laptop with this at all. What does seem to work is generic single-port chargers doing 100W PD-I tried a generic knockoff Macbook charger--so I'm assuming the problem is the OEM charger and the laptop trying to talk proprietarily to each other, and can't do that through this dock. Does this dock not support passing through whatever negotiating stuff PD charging needs? If not, why not? Is it simply not possible? Anyway, it seems to be a well-built device in every other respect. Metal construction, all the ports I'd want, and the replacement has been in use for just shy of two years now for everything but power pass-through without any of the issues or failures others have described. Could there be more firmware updates that help fix all of this? I had to be sent a file by someone from the company and walked through a procedure, so I don't know if I'd have access to any updates like that or not anymore--if they exist.

I unwrapped the box and removed the hub. I followed plug-in the sequence per the instructions. Both displays are working as advertised. It's really worth it to pay a little more to get what you want. At the time of this writing, I give five(5) stars. If anything goes wrong, I'll be sure to update my review. So far, so good. It's been only an hour ... Added 11/21/2024 ... I just plugged in my HP Chromebook and it works. Both monitors are displayed. I am so stoked. I highly recommend this Plugable USB-C Hub. Added 03/22/2025 - It's been over 4 months and the HDMI ports are acting up and intermittently cycling from black screen to display if I haven't used the hub in a week. I'm still keeping the 5 stars and I'm still happy.

Excellent build quality. Excellent customer service.

I have had two of these. The audio port stopped working after 4 months on the first one. Audio port stopped working on the second one after 7 months. If you are using this as a travel hub, then it may still be good for you. If you want to use it as a dock for home then you will need another way to hear music/media. EDIT: After 14 months on my second unit, the two HDMI ports have stopped working. A "docking station" that cannot handle monitors is useless. Changing rating from two stars to one star. These things just do not last.

This docking station didn't actually work right away with my Lenovo IdeaPad laptop and wouldn't automatically connect to my monitor. Plugable customer service was great though and sent me instructions on how to reboot the docking station and it works great now! I use it for both my work and personal laptops with no problems. I much prefer this to the other small docking/hub stations I found on amazon because almost all of the ports are on the back making for a much cleaner look and easier set up. I also like that the usb-c connection to the laptop is longer than most other ones which gives you more flexibility in set up.
